Blue Jackets Area
With Fabbro being out indefinitely and Gudbranson still unavailable, Columbus is now extremely thin when it comes to RHD.

Who’s available for a good RHD rental and what’s the cost ?

Guddy will be back soon-ish...now Fabbro...different story

We will use Jack and Jordan tho, won't be making a deal
I would go for a good proven RHD that’s hitting UFA. The options you listed are pretty mediocre if we want to stay in play off contention

Rutta from the Sharks has some history of being good in key minutes. I would steer clear of Jokiharju.

A team that values analytics will pick up Jokiharju expect reasonable things from him and get an affordable signing.

There are 3 pending UFA RHD who are regular players and are on non playoff hunt teams:

David Savard MTL
Jan Rutta SJS
Henri Jokiharju BUF

Take your pick

See our problem was we needed someone who is a lot better than Jordan Harris...

Jackets might also be in the market for a major D acquisition with 2+ years of term, if we're going to pay up it will be for a big long term upgrade, something akin to the Ekholm trade.

Carlo for Del Bel Belluz?

I imagine LDBB is on the table for an upgrade but I don't know if Carlo counts for that. He isn't playing well in Boston and might not work in Columbus for the same reason Peeke didn't work - he can't move pucks in a dynamic free flowing system.

You may be right. I thought Cassidy's offensive system was pretty free flowing, Grzelcyk, McAvoy, Bergeron, Pastrnak and Marchand were amazing to watch roaming and interchanging, but I don't know how you'd use Carlo or who you'd play him with.

Carlo plays best with puck moving defensemen like Lindholm, Grzelcyk and Krug. I think his struggles this year are because he hasn't had a partner like that with Lindholm out. When Lindholm was in the lineup, the Lindholm-Carlo pair has a 61.1 xG% despite getting 80% Dzone starts and playing against everyone's top line.
