Bad news that we had feared - Old Navy Goat passed away on December 9th per a message I received from his brother. I don't have details. We knew he'd had some health issues, some related to his time in the service, and I have not found any public memorial info yet. If I do so, I will pass it along. Be well, Chief.

thanks for digging into this, Chain. He was quite the character, and I swear his life's story would have been a hoot to read.
Fair winds and following seas, Sailor.
Rest your oars, and rest in peace.
:(

My favorite poster of all time on this board! His stories were entertaining and hockey knowledge impeccable.

Thank you for your service sir and passion for hockey.

Seemed like he enjoyed his last few years as a ex-pat abroad.

They don't make them like that anymore. He is missed.

He lived life to the fullest. Expanding to over 300 employees is absolutely crazy and running multiple locations. If I have half that energy when I go I will die proud.

I will miss the stories but also the comfort I found in Old navy goat existing. It was nice knowing that a true original was out there, stranger than fiction but always very friendly.

Pour one out for THE G.O.A.T.

The OT thread isn't really of much interest for me, but this guy's posts were something to read. A good writer could probably put them all together and come up with a cool ass HBO series. I always pictured him with a smile even going through the various struggles of life.

His draft analysis was my favorite on here. IIRC, he was a champion of Konsta Helenius. Glad we got one of his dudes in his last draft. May Helenius be a part in leading our squad to prosperous times and maybe think of ONG every time Konsta lights the lamp
