My though process was that we’re terrible on the road, play the least at home and play a bunch of teams that are still in the hunt or jockeying for playoff position.

This is tradition. Team always ends the year strong, putting us down 2-3 spots in the draft and essentially killing our chance of getting an impact player. 2021 was a good example of this. We were on track to grab a player like Brandt Clarke.

Just assume we will finish 7th, then lose two spots in the lottery, and you won’t be disappointed.

Basically impossible to fall below 4th at this point. My guess is we remain in 5th since Columbus is even worse than we are.

Against the Hurricanes and Bruins, I saw a team that was still hungry and wanted to compete. They just aren't getting any stops.

I am not optimistic about the final 12 games which is good for the draft position. The goaltending doesn't seem to be able to keep us in any games. I know there are goals that our goalies have no chance on...it's not entirely their fault.. but they're not stealing us any games.. that's for sure.

Realistic prediction hard to debate

I think we should be able to squeeze 3-4 wins in that stretch. Almost all the teams we're gonna face are better than us. And we're still running the holey sieve G combo, so absolutely no hope there.

We are absolutely gonna destroy Mtl, though. Too bad we don't play the Laffs, those would have been 100% for certain wins too.

Arizona is hitting the skids big time - Tourigny kept them competitive until just before the all-star break, at which point the wheels started coming off. I'm concerned that we could pass both Arizona and Montreal...
