Pius Suter scores a hattrick, twice inside of 9 seconds, which seems to be World Championship record.

wataboy this Pius Suter.

ok ... at least we are not relegated.

Another negative about playing relegation : fans don't get any stream to watch.

:handclap:

Glad they didn't get relegated. Since we couldn't see the games, not sure if they finally put it together or if it was just another example of the groups being very unbalanced, but I'm happy with the result.

I'm so glad the iihf did away with the pointless seeding games. After losing the QF teams used to have to play another game or two to decide who was 5th-8th, as if any of them cared.

Would've liked to see Belarus, it would've been good for them and hockey. Kind of like we are seeing with Denmark (on a lesser scale). However, this would've been a huge blow and embarrassment for Switzerland, which has cemented itself as a solid #8 in the planet, possibly 7th, depending on the play of Slovakia.

I'm actually pretty surprised that the two games were blowouts. Figured Belarus would give them enough trouble, maybe even beat them.

I think the Swiss could use a big embarrassment to shake things up. They seem to be very satisfied with being part of the top group but not hungry enough to beat the top 6. I felt that bronze many moons ago would be a springboard but it has not been. They have done very little with what at times is a fair amount of talent.

That's some very wet cement you got there considering the amount of result parity in that area of teams. Also about good for hockey, Denmark isn't a lesser scale, and Belarus' national team will never really be better than a large step below Dinamo Minsk which isn't a playoff KHL team. Good for hockey maybe Latvia or Denmark, in the long future maybe Germany or Austria.
