It's never been adidas strategy to use their name over established brand acquisitions ... I'd think Reebok for sure by now after few years on the market, and CCM without any question are recognized as hockey brands (at least in North America).
They also own Taylor Made golf, and Rockport shoes. I believe a few years back they sold off Salomon (skis, outdoor gear) and Mavic (bicycle wheels and components). They've never put the adidas branding on any of those because there was more value in having a brand name that's already associated with certain markets.
But then again, we're seeing the cross branding in Taylor Made RBz golf club shafts AND CCM Powered by RBz sticks so who knows what these marketing exec will come up with. God help us if they started making Taylor Made branded hockey gear or CCM putters.
