I am thinking about coming up to St. Louis for the December 9th game against the Wings. I transplanted to Kansas City last year and I miss being in a Hockey town. This is the only time the Blue's play the Wings in St. Louis this year.

Any Wings fans going to this game or maybe some hospitable Blues fans I can hang with, even though I will be in the Red Gear? :) If you are going and have an extra ticket, I will buy it from you.

St. Louis Native here.

Unfortunately, I literally cannot afford a day off as I'm working that day. I'm sure you'll find plenty of chill Blues fans in the area who'd like to hang with you.

Best of luck to you! :yo:

I, for one, have lost all of my "hatred" toward the Detroit Red Wings. Your team is in the other Conference, there is no longer a rivalry and I like what Yzerman is doing. Also, we all still love Fabbri.

I can't speak for Blues fans outside of the HFBlues community, but we have a solid, fair and mostly-sophisticated group on this website.

You're welcome to hang out with us anytime.

This is true. All my hatred for Detroit vanished when the team moved and their older players retired. I still love Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom, and crew, but I hated them back in the late 2000's. Some of the older guys might still resent Detroit, but I agree most here would probably enjoy hanging out with a Wings fan.

Brings back memories of watching playoff games when I was still I Atlanta. Had a good friend who was huge Wings fans and we used to go to bar (Chicago Pizza it was called) to watch games on satellite. I still recall watching there when Gretzky turned it over and Yzerman beat Casey to break my heart.

I was having a good day until you tromped in and took a whiz in my cornflakes. Thanks for letting me re-live that nightmare evening :help::laugh:

If you haven't checked them out yet and you're looking for local hockey to watch, the KC Mavericks of the ECHL in Independence are a nice option. Beautiful arena, and fun hockey, I sometimes enjoy traveling over from STL when I want a little minor league hockey fix.
