I am looking at making an outdoor rink for the 1st time this year. I noticed this Reddi Rink product in stores and was wondering if anyone has tried it out at all.

I found it for $20 in stores for the 10x20 sheet. I would prebably join 4 sheets to have a bigger playing surface. I'll be building this around Edmonton, Alberta so it will be plenty cold enough in the winter. Does this product hold up well in the cold? (I would assume it does).

Is there anything else I should be looking at when it comes to this product or building rinks in general? I was hoping to keep my costs as cheap as I can as well.

I used 4 and my yard has a ever so slight of a grade to it (about 3 in over 150 ft) and is was all bad. I can't recommend it at all.

The bottoms of the deeper end would freeze and thaw the shallower end did not hold enough water to be strong enough to skate on and joining the 4 pads with snow and water is not easy at all even if you get the top plastic cut low enough.

your better off building a frame and making your own liner out of 6 mill Polyethylene Film.

Thanks. I figured it might be too good to be true. I guess it's never that easy.
