You're looking at just the on ice play of both players, but Dubois also has/had the toxic attitude attached to him as well. I'm sure most people remember the infamous zero effort shift and the trade demands that followed and now he's bounced between multiple teams. There's serious red flags with Dubois. Cozens might be a frustrating player at times, but he's a hell of a lot better personality in the locker room even if Dubois is the more talented player. Outside of some larger deal where Cozens is merely a part of the package for a bigger fish I don't think he's being moved right now. Buffalo would be much better off trying to right his game then to settle for some collection of lesser assets for him.Are you THAT misinformed?
The jets got Vilardi + + when Dubois had back to back 60+pt seasons
Then he scored 40, about what Cozens has paced for every season of his career minus 1. Subsequently traded as a negative asset.
So what makes Cozens any different?
