At one point I thought Brayden Edwards was a pretty promising/interesting prospect.

I’m also pretty surprised Marcus Kearsey didn’t get drafted, he had a nice season in the Q.

Made a thread for both of them on the prospect board, so I’m decently familiar with them.

- Brayden Edwards is a defensively-sound centre, eliminating threats, supporting battles, and shadowing top opponents in key situations. Has an arsenal of passes: slipping pucks under sticks, saucing them over, and hooking them around. Was 2023 draft eligible.

- Dylan Edwards, 5'8 Left. 2024 draft eligible.

- Hunter Johannes, 25-year old Griffins player. LW 6'3 Left

- Cy LeClerc, 21-year old NCAA forward, 5'9 Left

- Chase Lefebvre, 20-year old 6'3 Center, Left. 2022 draft eligible.

- Charlie Paquette, 18-year old 2024 draftee. RW 6'1 Right.
Paquette scores by creating chaos. He’s a hard-working, physical player who dislodges pucks with hits and battles opponents around the net for positioning. He deflects shots, detaches for his check to grab rebounds, and occasionally sets up chances by cutting inside.

- Justin Solovey, 6'2 forward, lefty. 2023 draft eligible.

- Borya Valis, 6'2 forward, Right.
Give Valis a bit of space, and he takes the puck straight to the net. He slips away from defenders for chances at the top of the slot, too. Even more impressive as a passer, he sets up chances with quick plays off the boards and deceptive feeds through opponents. He enters every battle with a couple of shoulder-checks, mapping out his options.

Dmitri Buchelnikov had 5 points in his last 10 games; he looks very promising when I look through Elite prospects.
"A speedy winger with the ability to bounce off his linemates. A flashy, offence-first player. (LW.)

- David Breazeale, 24-year old, 6'4 Left-handed Defenceman.

LD Marcus Kearsey 18-year old, 5'11 LhD. 2024 draft eligible.
Kearsey drops down to a low posture and slips in front of attackers, preventing their access to the puck or the net. He takes every puck in motion, carrying them away from defenders on his first touch, and he uses a lot of rapid changes of directions. As he’s constantly moving, deceiving, and activating all over the ice – the defence has a hard time reading his intentions. He threads passes through opponents and participates in all of his team’s offensive zone movements. #97 ranked by THN/Tony Ferrari, 107 at Dobberprospects.

LD Blake Smith, 19-year old 6'5 LhD. 2023 draft eligible.
Smith's an overpowering physical presence and a fluid skater. A deep, clean stride and powerful crossover close distance on opponents fast. His defensive skating " knees bent, chest up, and c-cuts and heel pushes over crossovers " steadily guides opponents into the boards, right into a heavy shoulder.

RD Trevor Taulien, 21-year old, 6'5 RhD.

G Albin Boija, 20-year-old 6'1 Swedish goalie from NCAA.

G Kristoffer Eberly 21-year-old 6'4 American goalie from NCAA.

G Sebastian Gatto, 18-year old, 6'3 CAN/USA goalie. 2024 draft eligible.

G Andrew Oke, 20-year old 6'2 USA goalie, 2022 draft eligible. Remember he was already there at last Red Wings developmental camp as a try-out.
"His puck-tracking around the crease is great, and it speaks to his instinctual ability to know when to put technique aside to make reaction saves."
