I am sure it has been discussed before and I'm sure it's a bad idea but, just for hockey, and to possibly turn the Big 5 into the Big 6, why not combine Slovakia and the Czechs?
while we are it lets rob the national identity of eastern Europeans and reunite the USSR for hockey reasons and combine Canada and the US.I am sure it has been discussed before and I'm sure it's a bad idea but, just for hockey, and to possibly turn the Big 5 into the Big 6, why not combine Slovakia and the Czechs?
Amalgamate the US and Canadian teams into the UK National Team too.
It’s close, but the problem is our team nickname would be the Kings whereas we actually should be called... the Queens. On second thought, let’s not do that.I'm game.

I would take it two steps further and unite Austria, Czech, Slovakia and Germany and call it the Bavarian team. Canada would still beat them but it might be a bit closer.
Why stop there? Take it to the logical conclusion and combine every country into Team Pangaea. Guaranteed gold medal every year in every contest when there's literally no opposition to play against.
I like this idea. Participation ribbons all around. Why stop there? Take it to the logical conclusion and combine every country into Team Pangaea. Guaranteed gold medal every year in every contest when there's literally no opposition to play against.
I thought I was safe never to see that again.I'm game.

Team Atlantis would like a word.
Psh, why would anyone be afraid of them? They always sink when it matters most.
What about Team Rodinia? It's a younger team than Team Pangaea, but I like their moxie. Why stop there? Take it to the logical conclusion and combine every country into Team Pangaea. Guaranteed gold medal every year in every contest when there's literally no opposition to play against.
