I know this kid was the Brick tournament MVP a few years back. I believe it was a rather rare feat for a defender to garner such praise. I haven‘t seen or heard of him since however - i’ll definitely keep an eye on him going forward.

Son of former NHL:er Micki DuPont, who had a long career in europe
DEL & NLA, played over 1000 pro games (NHL, AHL, DEL, NLA).

Micki is actually Landon's head coach :)

Pretty tall kid for 13 year old; 5 foot 10 / 155 lbs

Really good start for his rookie season in the CSSHL

Quite insane statline for a defender his age in all honesty.

Seems he has progresses real nice since the Brick Tournament. It’ll be interesting to see how he grows in the next few years.

13 years old, I know, but Landon Dupont is a Swiss-born Canadian defenseman putting up some exceptional numbers in the CSSHL. Connor Bedard and Matthew Savoie were put on the map by scoring at around 3 ppg in this league at the same age. Dupont currently has 10-15-25 in 12 games, a pace that far exceeds that of any other U14 D in the league's history.

Will he receive exceptional status consideration?

You didn't? Well, you are welcome.

I think, i first learned about Micki Dupont from EA NHL games, like early 00's.

Yeah he was a high scoring d-man everywhere else except in the NHL.
I hope Landon becomes better what his father.

Yeah he's the favourite to go 1st for the 09s and would be a top 5 maybe even 1st pick this year if eligible. Potential is there to get exceptional status and has decent enough size already that that won't prevent it. Odds are that he'll be going to the Oil Kings so reporting shouldn't be a issue either, Edmonton should have a much better supporting cast in place than what Regina had for Bedard to start.

vs a team that are 4 w 14 l this season, 18-3 W for Edge School
Dupont scored 6 primary assists.

This was their first game of the season where they scored 10 or more goals.
Edge School are 6.9 goals per game for this season. 2nd best after Kelowna
 
A bit early, but I saw that no one has made a thread on him yet and I think it's time we start discussing him.

Landon Dupont is looking really good and he's not gonna be 14 until june. Scoring at a similar rate to what Jordan Gavin was at his age but as a defenseman. Son of former NHLer Micki Dupont, which is why he was born in Switzerland but has Canadian citizenship, as his father played in the swiss leagues when he was born.

He looks like the very early, likely 1st decent candidate for the number one pick in 2027.

Any Highlights people have would be greatly appreciated as this guy looks like a stud. Let's discuss.

Update

had a horrible February, what comes to production; 0+3 in 8 games.
last 2 games though 2 goals 2 assists, 4 points -> 45 points in 26 games


1 more game in the regular season for Dupont
then play-offs
