Height: 6 foot 5
Weight: 200 lbs
Shoots: Right
DOB: 2002-03-05
From: Longueuil, QC
Other info: Nephew of a former NFL:er Tim Biakabutuka (Carolina Panthers running back)

Until today, i haven even heard of this player. I was finishing my previous thread
when i noticed that he was the only player appearing in all 4 categories and... in
all 4 categories he was in top 5, i thought...that's impressive, so, i thought he would
deserve a thread of his own.

He has played in all Foreurs games but one this season
Almost every Foreurs player has a negative +/- stat, Jérémie is +5
With that +5 number, he leads the team.

Now most, would presume that he has had a super sheltered role
in his team, now i would presume that also, that would surely explain
his high +/- stat compared to his team mates, or...
he doesn't get much of ice time :) - i think the first is the accurate one.

2 goals, 5 assists, 7 points +5, 12 PIM's this season in 23 games so far.
- oh i forgot, he has also 20 SOG, 4th most in the team by d-men.

If one wanna search for his highlights, go to these sites:
QMJHL – Includes live game day coverage, audio and video clips, exclusive stories, game tickets, stats, standings, schedules and features.
Val-d'Or, Foreurs

And to end this with the usual; has anyone seen his games?,
know more about him?, is he considered as a top prospect?

Could’ve sworn he had a thread, but I guess not, Jérémie is going to be a great player. Classic name but very good all around defenseman with a great NHL frame and body already at 6’3 and nearly 200 lbs. Uses his body well and generates a lot of shots. Not sure how I feel about the skating yet, but lots of time.

Is +7 in a team where 23 out 27 of players are minus players, worst being -23.
From players who have played 10 or more games (22) Jérémie is the only plus player.
- from those, 15 has played 20 or more games

With his current streak, Biakabatuka has risen to 4th place of QMJHL rookie scoring of d-men,
Jérémie thou, is 13-14 months younger than his competitors above him.

Sucks that his draft year's been ruined by major injury.

In the season opener Jérémie scored a goal (PP), was +3, had 3 shots on goal, then in the next game gets injured,
has not played since.

Should go 1st overall in the 2020 draft based on his name alone. Good luck pronouncing it commentators!

It's actually not too bad to pronounce, or at least many of us learned it when his uncle was in college/NFL. I won many a Madden championship with his uncle leading the way.

Looks like Jeremie returned to action in early November: LHJMQ – Incluant la couverture en direct des matchs, des clips audio et vidéo nouvelles exclusives, billets, statistiques, classements, horaires et autres.

He missed 17 games from the beginning of the season (got injured in game 2), super difficult to judge his draft season.

I'd say he is a high risk, high reward type of pick in this years draft.
I think he goes somewhere between 30-70.

Looking now he was ranked #209 by Central Scouting in the final rankings, chances are he gets taken late or ends up undrafted , despite him having some upside.
