I didn't see a thread on Moore, but there ought to be one. A 2002 RHD out of St. Marks, who is drawing a lot of attention. Expect to see his name more often.

I've heard he's the top prospect playing prep hockey in the northeast, and going to Chicago next year is a smart step in development as the NCAA is a huge jump from prep hockey. Not sure where he is expected to go in the draft though, 3rd round maybe?
It appears that he is a VERY fast-rising prospect... 3rd round starting to sound low. I'd say over/under now is about pick #45-50.
Little bit of both - I attended one game toward end of year and heard it there from both scouts and parents. Smax lost that game but they were different team with him on ice. Also sounds like media rankings have him rising considerably due to scout buzz, which reaffirms what I heard. And both Chicago Steel and Harvard have pretty good track records on finding talented d-men.I'm genuinely interested to know if there is any source to this or your own speculation?
Steel haven't played because of covid issues. I would give this podcast a listen, a few minutes of it especially dedicated to moore:Can someone please tell me more about what the Ducks have in Moore? No updates since he was drafted.
Can someone please explain why he hasn't been playing for Chicago?

I read he was only on the second pairing. He returned today.

Not to derail the discussion but how has Ian Moore looked so far this year? His numbers have been much better over the past 4-5 games compared to the first 5-6 games but does he pass the eye test so far?
any updates on Moore this season? I am a bit more excited on him than others
Nostradamus over here. And there's no guarantee he even makes the league. UFA eligible this summer and he probably goes back to Harvard for his senior year and then runs out the clock to sign with whomever in summer 2025.So he'll make his NHL debut in the 2026 season with a significant risk that he goes UFA?
