6’7”, 200lbs Right Shot defender playing for the Sudbury Wolves in the OHL.
Toure is the definirion of a late bloomer - he is originally from Quebec where he failed to get onto the radars of any QMJHL franchises.

He left home with his brother last year to play in the CCHL for the Carleton Canadiens where he and his brother were traded mid season to the Hawksbury Hawks where he would be coached by Rick Dorval.
After the season Dorval got an assistant coaches role with the Sudbury Wolves - where he told the team that he wanted them to bring in this 6’7” kid on a tryout.

At Wolves camp he was a standout and earned himself a roster spot on a rather crowded Wolves blue line - he has been terrific ever since.

Toure, at 6’7“ moves quite well for a big man - and he is a tough customer that plays a very aggressive and in your face game. He is defenitly a real Inimidating presence out there on the ice. in only 14 games to start the season, Toure has showcased a nice scoring touch, notching 9 points in his first 14 games in the OHL.I am definitely rooting for this kid to aucceed, it‘s not often that a kid gets in his first CHL games at 19, has an immediate impact and gets on scouts radars. I think this kid gets drafted in the 2023 NHL draft. Reminds me a bit of the path Arber Xhekaj took to eventually make the NHL.

Quite the surprise to have this 6'7" defenceman show up and make the team on a try out. He's shown a lot of improvement over the course of this season and certainly makes you wonder if he could get himself onto NHL radars. He started out the year as Sudbury's #5 or 6 D and in the last ~5 game stretch you could argue that he's been our best defenceman. Exciting to see what happens over the next few months with his game.

He was even given a ‘C’ rating by central scouting in their preliminary ranking and he has only played better, and better since then.

One of the more interesting stories to watch this year.

I've been to three Wolves games this year and thought he looked good in 2, poor in 1. I'll probably go to more wolves games next year so it will be interesting to see how he progresses.

Came out of absolutely nowhere, I have a feeling he's going to be one of the stories of the draft this year. Late bloomer, an incredible skater for his size, great offensive instincts and brings real physicality to the ice.

Right from training camp it was clear the Wolves might have something special on their hands with Toure.

Great video here of the kid - if you have a chance give it a watch - seems like a great personality.
