RD Daxon Rudolph, Northern Alberta Xtreme U18 Prep, CSSHL U18 (2026)

This kids lighting up U18 prep as a dman. Any chance he gets a few WHL games in this year?
He’s projecting to be one of the top dman available for 2026 at this point, although admittedly it is a bit early and guys always come out of the woodwork leading up to draft day. There are definitely some Euro dman still undiscovered in their D-2 but Daxon’s profile right now is elite for his age.
Anyone watched him yet?

Every top selection gets a few games every year.

I thought he was good at the YOG, but I don't see anything special. He's a good two-way defenseman. Probably not any better than that right now. Let's see how he progresses over the upcoming years.

By the way, fastest ever to 100 points in the CSSHL by a d-man.
- although... Landon DuPont has 1 game time to beat him (2 to tie)
and take the record from him (also DuPont is 14 months younger)

Not that CSSHL is a very old Canadian hockey program; started in 2009
but still, big deal

I think Daxon will probably be an early round pick, but doesn't have any real wow factor to how he plays. A reliable player in all zones and situations. His ceiling is a little questionable, but doesn't come with any evident areas he needs significant improvement on.
