Something must be lost in translation here.
I think I wrote my opinion which I supported logically. I am certainly not mocking anyone, nor denying the right to an opinion.
Yeah that was pointen towards 57special and his completely ridiculous statement about Spacek, Hunt and Rulik, Not at you sorry if it felt that way

Most of us said we see him as a player with potential to be a NHL regular in a few years, and I stand by that,
I'm absolutely positive this is positive a comment on Spacek's NHL career as any poster has ever made. I've certainly made this comment. It's easily found, easily quotable.

There is a huge gap between

Extraliga career

and

Top 4 NHL stud with 1000 games

I think most of us are very much in the middle here.

He says that its crazy and completely dont understand why Minnesota brought him and that he should have gone to different club eg. like Edmonton. And that they dont know in Minnesota what value they have in D.Spacek.
Why does the writer think Edmonton would have been a good place for Jiricek? Does the writer want Jiricek back in CZ asap?

but Spacek is completely baked in AHL with this move.

I'm not even sure this is true. Bogosian is a 7D candidate, he can easily sit in the press box if someone supplants him. Jiricek probably does that next year, hopefully. Spurgeon also only has two years left before he's gone, and he also has injury concerns most of the time.

So all this does is make it so Spacek has to wait maybe an extra year to get a spot? He's not exactly knocking down the door right now. He's good and improving, but he's by no means someone who should be playing in the NHL right now.

Long term, Faber-Jiricek-Spacek can still be the RD depth chart.

Keep in mind that Jake Middleton, who is now a mainstay in the top 4 and playing really well, played his first full NHL season(had 13gp total before that) when he was 26 yo. Just because Spacek, or Jiricek, or Masters, or Healey, or Pionk, isn't ready now doesn't mean that they are crap...just that they aren't ready.

Apologies... translator got it wrong

Who says Rulik has more insight?

As far as I can tell, a hockey lover (rulik) made an opinion about hockey. He is allowed an opinion just like you and I are on HF.

It'd be no different than if Jagr made a comment about a Czech in the NHL or Gretzky (assuming he's not affiliated to an NHL club today) made a comment about a Canadian player not making his NHL squad.
Rulík is undoubtedly entitled to his opinion. I was struck by how he verbally attacked the people in Minnesota and the AHL who see Špaček play every day. That's all. Since as I write, a lot can be lost in translation (which you yourself have confirmed), it's probably not worth me continuing the discussion any further. On the contrary, it can be counterproductive:help::D

Why does the writer think Edmonton would have been a good place for Jiricek?
The writer was quoting a conversation Jiricek had with Rulik. So the source of that is Jiricek telling Rulik that he thought he'd end up in Edmonton. He didn't say he wanted that or not, but that is what was being told to him. Most likely by his very famous agent Walsh.

When the trade happened... I realized Bogosian is not what he once was. That night he played maybe 13 minutes. Seems like he's near the end of his career... I didn't realize that at all as I don't follow him at all. Seems like a very solid hand on a very nice D core.

He will be Jack Johnson next year as he has a buriable cap at 1.25 and that is exactly the guy you put in the pressbox to let young guys play. NO knock on him at all.

Off to Iowa... feels like a lot of teams really don't want him in the NHL right now. Glad he'll start playing at least.

..and it isn't even Spacek they are calling up. Rulik in shambles since this means he is at best 6th RD in the Wild organisation.
I will rather not engage into this discussions again. Its obvious an army of biased US and Canadian posters will explain me how 25 yrs old Crotty who played 1 NHL game so far and has absolutely unimpressive career resume is better option then two young promising defenders one of which is 6th overall pick.

But if they called him up just to sit in the stands and not play a game and send Jiricek down cause they actually want him to play then it make sense I guess. Otherwise not so much

Crotty is the future for sure. He got called up and that is all the facts you need to know. NHL never calls up vets and leaves the prospects in lower leagues to develop.

Somehow... this insane narrative that all the Czechs think Spacek should be Top 4 in Minnesota has evolved out of thin air. I think we all expected a cup of coffee this year and to maybe contend for a roster spot next season after heavy minutes in AHL this season. However, turns out Minny is damn good so I don't expect that cup of coffee. I will be raging hard when both are in Iowa during the Worlds this spring.

I’ve always found Jiricek an extremely frustrating player to watch when Ive seen CBJ games on tv.. this doesn’t surprise me at all he’s been sent to AHL again and obviously needs a lot more time in the minors.

I’m not a huge fan of his NHL potential but what do I know lol

I loved the return CBJ got though in this trade that sent him to Minny. In my opinion the Wild hit it outta the park with what they got

And that’s zero disrespect to CBJ/Wild fans

How much of Jiricek's malcontent narrative is really a product of Walsh? Did Jiricek really want to leave Columbus? If so, why? Couldn't be because of being ready for the NHL unless he also wants out from Minnesota who just sent him to the AHL. Maybe he had conflict with the coaching staff or maybe just maybe Walsh had conflict with the management and when they didn't cave in he riled up Jiricek and then demanded that Columbus trade Jiricek. Just speculation but where Walsh is involved with a seemingly disgruntled player I am always leery.

I didn´t know who Špaček was until i saw him at world championship, hated him so much for his defensive lapses lol. I am more pissed about Stanislav Svozil, i think he has NHL potential.

I find the whole situation baffling. He never plays.lol. Walsh can stir shit for sure. I thought Columbus had good d and was a good spot for him tbh. Curious how long till he plays for the Wild...he may be in AHL for awhile because that is two teams that didn't want to give him a lot of NHL time.

Hopefully Jiricek is in a good spot for his development. He needs to play and improve various aspects of his game to stick in the NHL. He has the potential so it's a combination of his effort and the coaching and education offered by the team. We will see. He's very young and they don't need to rush him.

Same thing in Columbus, and that’s why he got traded. He didn’t want to play there. Maybe he will in Iowa
I’m sure he didn’t want to play there, as I’m sure he wants to be in MN making near a million dollars, not in Iowa making 90k. That’s not the reason he got traded, though. It could be a contributing factor factor, but there was a buildup of a lot of different things that lead to him seeking a fresh start.
