RD Bode Laylin - Tri City Storm, USHL (2026 Draft)

My review of what I've watched from him this season. Has 2+11=13 points in 46 games. Committed to University of St. Thomas for 2026-27 per EP.

I think he has a chance to be drafted next year as a puck-moving defenseman, but his game needs a lot of work also. He has some good shifts, but then there are shifts where he looks small defensively (he’s 5’11), he gets pushed around, he makes bad defensive plays, and his puck game/skating doesn’t excite you enough. Has solid stats though for a 2026 draft-eligible defenseman in the USHL and there are some good things from him in junior at this point, so he has a chance to be a draft pick if he can make some improvements.
