It's been Dahlin since he stepped into the league.

For this season with no salary/cap considerations? Erik Karlsson assuming both d-men are healthy. Dahlin has yet to reach that other level, he might this season. Curious to see EK65 without Burns eating away some of his time.

Dahlin is poised for a big breakout and Buffalo is flying under the radar for whatever reason after all of the major moves that happened to other teams over the summer.

But I also tend to think that EK has one big season left in him.

Interesting poll.

The teams are running in opposite directions so I'd be tempted to bank on Dahlin and a rejuvenated Sabres team over a Sharks team that is sort of retooling, rejigging and rebuilding.

It makes me really sad that I'm voting Dahlin. Oh what could've been if Matt Cooke had been sent to Siberia instead of Pittsburgh.

If Karlsson stays healthy he is one of the best d on the league, but that is a big if. Dahlin can take the next step and pass EK, and you will probably get many more games from him.

[Painful Quandary]

Dahlin only because Karlsson will end up being out with injuries for at least 20 games and will be ineffective playing injured another 10 plus games. It is a real shame because a healthy Karlsson is a great defenseman.
