Actually % of goals that go in based on number of shots fired would be a better metric. If you allow 17 goals on 17 shots, that is a pretty good spot to aim for!

A long time ago, I don't remember when, I read about a player (Lafleur? Really not sure) who used to target the goalie head for the first few shots of the game. You know, just to rattle him a bit.

I wonder if players do that. Or if scoring is so difficult, you use every opportunity you have.

I bet if you shot high while he was screened it would improve your chances of scoring on him. Just sayin'

You'd think Rask's weakness was shots in general based on this series.

Jokes aside, just shoot on him enough and it will go in. He plays under a good system but if you bypass the system with a breakaway he's nothing special. Since we can't get this often just make him move back and forth laterally and odds are you'll score. He was completely out of position on Vanek pass to Plekanec. Hell, even shots from the point seem to be a mutual weakness this series.
