Ranking the most relevant hockey leagues in term of skill level

The Leagues Include:

NHL
SHL
KHL
AHL
ECHL
NCAA
Liiga
Czech
Swiss A
WHL
OHL
QMJHL
MHL (Russian CHL)

Whats your ranking?

Note: That wasn't my ranking, just listing the leagues. Just added the most relevant ones. Add a league you think I missed.

What does skill level mean here? How is SHL second or ECHL that high??
Edit:

Ah missed the second post. I'd go:

1. NHL

2. KHL

3. AHL
4. SHL

5. Liiga

6. Swiss A
7. Czech

8. NCAA
9. OHL
10. QMJHL
11. WHL
12. MHL
13. ECHL

I think you've got the ECHL ranked too low. Most of the players from 8-11 never get even that far. I don't know enough about the MHL to comment there. Otherwise I agree with this list.

1.You are missing the VHL(russian 2nd tier men's league) and maybe Allsvenskan.

2.Comparing junior lleagues to men's leagues is difficult. Junior leagues are much less homogenous. There is often a huge gap between top teams and bottom feeders. And then they are juniors. So comparing skill alone is difficult too. There might be brightest superstar prospect in juniors who would still not shine in any many men's leagues.

For men's leagues the list would be:

NHL
KHL
SHL AHL
NLA
Liiga VHL
Allsvenskan
Czech
ECHL

For junior leagues separately:

MHL top teams CHL top teams USNTDP(obviously has to be measured as a separate body). Yes, all on the same level. North Americans might underrate the MHL here, but it's their fault really.

CHL middle of the pack teams NCAA

MHL's "bad" teams even with many other european junior leagues.

Because it is the worst league and doesn’t play defense

Sure thing.

If the question is skill than CHL > NCAA. The excuse is it’s men vs boys as to why NCAA is better, skill wise though CHL dwarfs NCAA and is the top feeder league for the NHL.

Agreed. Definitely better than junior, NCAA and ECHL. Actually I pretty much agree with your list.

Hard to say. I literally know guys I grew up playing hockey with that have done 2-5 year stints in the DEL but barely got in the lineup of their (admittedly, very good) college team.

And I find the characterization of it as a "big money" league. A typical North American will actually make more in the ECHL than they will in the DEL.
