I thought it would be a good idea to rank the leagues according to what we see in full honesty.
Not easy because obviously the levels of preparation aren't the sames and their can be many other problems to rank the leagues ... yet let's ignore these problems and enjoy the interest in ranking the leagues in terms of quality and efficiency of thier teams.

I would go as follows :

1) SHL
2&3) NLA & Finnish league
4) Extraliga
5) DEL
6) EBEL
7) Liagean (Nor & Dan)
8&9) Magnus & EIHL

To me ... 1,2 and 3 aver veeery close ... yet their is still a little something in favour of the Swedish league. Technically better yet depending on what team ... it could be doubtfull. I must admit that the NLA teams may not have convinced all ... yet i know that some of them have a level of preparation that is abysmal or almost inexistent. They will improve rapidly ... .
The Extraliga could be of the same level ... i don't know it well enough ... and still , according to what i see i would put them a notch under.
DEL isn't that bad, although poorer technically than the first 4. EBEL is another class down technically.
Norway and Danemark ... i honestly don't know them ... i place them their because of the results and the little i saw.
France and England, well 2 great soccer nations ... with the Magnus league being ranked 8th and 9th with the EIHL. But let's be serious ... i never saw a EIHL game so by respect i place them on paar.

Your turn ... feel free ... justify your rankings so as to open discussions and point of view exchanges.

From what I have seen:

1) SHL (easily)
2) NLA
3) Finnish League
4) Czech Extraliga
5) DEL
6) EBEL (Except Bolzano)
7) Norway league
8) Danish League
9) EIHL UK
10) Ligue Magnus

Finland is clearly behind NLA. Problem with Finnish teams is that every year there is a few teams who are pair with top teams(Kärpät, Tappara, Lukko, TPS this year) in Europe but rest of the teams are pretty bad and full of career FEL players.

Finnish Liiga 16 games, 39 points, 2,4375 points per game

SHL (Sweden) 16 games, 31 points, 1,9375 points per game

NLA (Switzerland) 12 games, 20 points, 1,6667 points per game

DEL (Germany) 12 games, 7 points, 0,5833 points per game

Czech Extraliga 12 games, 19 points, 1,5833 points per game

Slovakian Extraliga 2 games, 0 points, 0 points per game

EBEL (Austria) 8 games, 12 points, 1,5 points per game

GET Ligaen (Norway) 4 games, 3 points, 0,75 points per game

Metal Ligaen (Denmark) 2 games, 1 point, 0,5 points per game

Ligue Magnus (France) 2 games, 0 points, 0 points per game

EIHL (Great Britain) 2 games, 0 points, 0 points per game

Good start for swiss, finnish and swedish teams with the austrian teams also doing fine (even better if we took Bolzano out of the equation). Slightly small sample size for some leagues so far, but this is where we stand right now. I'll try and remember to update this after the group stage :)

1) SHL (no discussion possible)
2) NLA
3) SM Liga (you could easily swap 2 and 3 though)
4) DEL
5) Czech league
6) EBEL
7) Ligaen Norway
8) Ligaen Denmark
9) Extraliga Slovakia
Beyond this point they have nothing to do in the CHL
10) EIHL
11) French league

11) French league

I can see some swaps in bolded parts... Anyway, it could be easily EBEL=Czech league=DEL=Kosice=Sonderjyske=Stavanger

Many teams have nothing to do in CHL. C for Champions...

Ranking of leagues based on CHL after 4 game days played? What?

just fun, i guess.
