Now before we get into this I want to say that the rankings aren’t about who is the better prospect or who will have the best career. This is everything in a vacuum, just ranking their performance so far in this tournament.

Since every fan tends to keep an eye on their teams prospects or favorite players more than the rest of the team, I thought it’d be cool to see how other people and other fan bases rank the players so far, or how other fan bases also see the prospects you’ve been rooting for. So state the team you cheer for and your rankings. To start:

Calgary Flames

Forwards:
Cozens

Mcmichael
Krebs

Pelletier
Newhook

Tomasino
Mercer

Holloway
Byfield
Zary

Suzuki
Perfetti

Quinn

Defense:
Byram
Drysdale

Guhle
Barron
Harley
Schneider

Admittedly haven’t kept a great eye on our defenseman so far this tournament. Biggest challenge for me in the ranking was whether Pelletier should be in the 2nd or 3rd tier, and where to slot in Perfetti as outside of the power play I’ve been very unimpressed by his showing this year.

Pretty much agree.

I'd move Harley up a few spots though, and Perfetti above Suzuki.

Pelletier has been great all tournament, and I think had he been placed on the top 2 lines earlier, he would have more points. The "tier 2" players have all been extremely reliable and dominant.

Like previous posters have mentioned, Perfetti has been good on the powerplay, invisible 5v5. Byfield has been pretty invisible except for versus Switzerland and a few flashes here and there.

Suzuki, Zary and Quinn have been passengers.

Schneider stood out to me versus Russia.

As an Oiler fan, you'd like to see Holloway more offensively involved, but he's done the job asked of him to an absolute T and is a handful along the boards and in front of the net, and his wheels are impressive. Can definitely see the Kreider comparisons.

Quinn hasn't been good, eh? Its disappointing...he hasn't been nearly the same player he was with Ottawa last year. I thought he'd be an impactful player for us offensively, as his ability to maneuver through traffic and his shot are damn near elite at this level. He was absolutely lethal from the top of the circle in, last year.

He has 5 points and is a +10 in 6 games. He’s obviously been fine.

He looks like he has easily the worst hands on the team for whatever reason. Doesn't look like a scorer, though he's bought into the team's system well and has been smart defensively. Going by the last two Canadian gold medal games though, he looks like a prime contender to score the game winning goal with just a few minutes left.

It’s hard to nitpick with the record of the team and the astonishing 5 on 5 performance to date and lack of trailing at any point.

But someone has to be near the bottom and for me it’s Quinn and Perfetti.

It might have to do with this particular incarnation's emphasis on the forecheck and aggressive play, and just isn't as good a fit for them. Perfetti seems like more of a finesse player.

However, it is Quinn's coach at the helm so it's a little bit surprising how he's had less of an impact.

-7 and sunny today. I’m going for a run in a few minutes. Should be great.

Then, to watch our prospects demolish Russian and then our Canadian boys walk over the States.

How about you? How was breakfast this morning?

He's been more than fine. Posters are too hard on him.

He is asked to play a defensive role which shows his versatility. Canada has so many elite offensive players Actually even more impressed since he is their top penalty killer and one of the forwards out there at the end of the game.Sometimes you have to play a different role in order to make the team.
