We were the better team 5v5 but lazy and stupid mistakes cost us (again). Good to once again see that this team is able to battle back and don't feel like they are out of the game.
Kakko's best game in ages, wouldn't mind him getting a few more looks with Mika; Fox was damn good again; Lindgren had a good game; Georgiev was pretty good despite the numbers.

We desperately need some more top 6/top 9 talent but I don't know how we are going to get it as what we've got there now seems to be the stuff we can trade before the deadline

@Glen Sathers Cigar I don’t think Strome is traded at the deadline so that’s probably why he isn’t on the TSN list

That said this should be an easy decision for the front office in the summer

Can’t get any easier for them then sending Strome on his way

Isles are anti-hockey. With any luck tonight we win or at least get to OT. A couple of mistakes, some bad bounces and a horrible f***ing offside review undid us tonight, we actually played pretty well, really carried the play but you give up some early cheapies and you're playing catchup all night. Yuck. Just thank christ we weren't shut out. Now what the f*** am I supposed to do for the next 10 days, get a job??? Ugh...

Not even mad.

Outshot the Philes...out played them and there was no way on gods green earth were we beating them 3 straight times in a week and so the hockey gods f***ed with us as we couldn't buy a break all game long until the final 5 minutes....whatever.

I would think that any delusional playoff talk should now be put to bed for good. Let's just hope we come back after the break and continue being a pain in the ass to play against and keep playing the kids more and more.

That said despite the loss, THE most important part of the game at least to me it was, and I said it a few times on the Game Day thread was the play of that guy...I believe his name is Kappo Kakko.

IMO tonight was by far his best game as a Ranger. He looked like a totally different guy tonight and resembled quite a bit the player I recall kicking ass at the Worlds back in the summer. He was engaged, decisive, smart with the puck and lord help me for saying this cause I've been criticizing his skating since Game 1, he actually looked quick out there and skated really well.

I dunno what happened or if the light bulb maybe went off but I love me the Kakko of tonight cause he's alot of fun to watch and it give us a real true glimmer of hope of the kind of player and star he's going to be.

Hopefully after the break after he rests up, more solid performances like tonight are on tap rest of the season....here's to hoping!!

The Rangers will probably get a decent amount of wins after this break, 9 of 13 before the deadline vs teams not in a playoff spot right now, hopefully the trade assets continue to play really well.
