Any one going to the game tonight?

Rangers: Some might think the Rangers have the advantage in this game since they've already played a game at Yankee Stadium this week. But with an evening start and even colder temperatures expected Wednesday, the Rangers, who have won 12 of their past 18 games, aren't expecting much of the same from what they experienced Sunday against New Jersey.

"It's going to be completely different," forward Chris Kreider said Tuesday. "I think it's going to be an independent entity. You can take stuff from the game you just played in but that can change just like that. It's about how you adjust."

Islanders: Wednesday marks the beginning of a huge two-game set with the Rangers, whom they trail by nine points in the Metropolitan Division. While the Islanders are clearly excited to participate in such a special event at Yankee Stadium, they know they can't get caught up in the atmosphere. The focus needs to be on the two points at stake.

"I don't think it's going to be a huge distraction for us," defenseman Andrew MacDonald said. "It is the Rangers, they're ahead of us in the standings, it's a big rival. There's a lot of reasons why we're going to be prepared for this game. I don't think we're going to be distracted from what the task at hand is."

Mats Zuccarello scored twice for the Rangers during a second-period blitz that proved to be the downfall of the Devils. The Blueshirts scored four times in the second period and reeled off six unanswered goals in all to turn a 3-1 deficit into a 7-3 advantage.

"It's something you are really proud to be a part of," said Zuccarello.

Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault was asked after Sunday's game if having already played at Yankee Stadium will give his team an advantage over the Islanders tonight. He doesn't believe it will.

"I think for our group it's going to be another good experience in an 82-game schedule," said Vigneault. "But I think if I'm from Long Island and I'm a player and coach and member there I'm going to feed off this first opportunity for them. I don't see an advantage for one team or the other."

Hamonic is out for this game.

Loffen had computer/internet issues once before. Hopefully all is well with him otherwise.

To my brethren in attendance--stay warm!

Tonight's refs are Dan O'Rourke and Eric Furlatt.

According to scoutingtherefs.com, the Rangers have lost 7 straight road games officiated by Furlatt by a combined score of 20-5 and have been shut out in 4 of those games.

So ****.

Fell onto four free tickets, section 229 behind right behind the third base/goal line.

Pretty excited, wouldn't have gone otherwise.

:yo:

Ready for tonight's game! Stadium Series jersey, hat, scarf, beers, pizza! LET'S GO RANGERS!!!

Hoping for a great game by Kreider, Zucc, Nash. Those 3 are too important for us to have an off-day
