I expressed concern before the Smith signing that this was a guy who was basically the Nick Holden of the DRW, had a hot streak when he got here, and got paid like a 2nd pairing defenseman, because at the time we were desperate for some stability back there.

NYR need to fix the defense- again. So far Staal hasn't been the problem. Kampfer should not be a regular starter.

The funny part is that Brooks and the public heat his article brought down probably deserves more credit for this win than AV does haha

Does AV put KZB back together if there wasn't immense public pressure to win this game?

And if Gorton thinks this performance justifies keeping AV, then he's part of the problem. Because this wasn't a good win. Vegas handed us this game on a silver platter. We BARELY beat an expansion team playing an ECHL level goalie and playing the second of a back to back.

Our 1st PP unit is so good, KZB, and also Zucc and Shatty. Those guys should be playing the full 2 minutes, its literally like a waste of PP time to have Desharnais and Vesey getting PP time. Maybe swap out one or two of these guys for Nash and Miller occasionally after a minute, otherwise, play them 2 minutes.
