Excellent motivator. Reminds me of Torts in that sense. Except once the latter decides on a system (he does adapt strategy to his roster) he sticks to it during each game. Sort of shoving a block through a square peg — regardless of the block’s shape and size. Peter seems to appreciate the importance of flexibility somewhat more — but he does tend to stick to a certain strategy across teams.

Well we hit our 3 goal quota and enter the 3rd with a cushion. Guess we ought to collapse and play prevent. No reason to keep our foot on the gas and play to win. No reason to get away from our inability to close games out now.

That's what I hate to see. Feels like the Torts and AV days when they retreat into a defensive shell around the net the second they get by the blue line. I'd rather them be more aggressive since Washington has their back up against the wall.

You know there comes a time when putting the player out game after game to finally breaks out is bad for the player—total lose of confidence for Zibs.

We know Quinn has no choice to play Zibs with the Rangers having a losing record but it maybe time to just sit him a few games to see if he can just relax.

He has to play him, but not with our best forwards. He is shit right now. Play him with grinders so he's not killing scoring chances. Just awful.

If the guys are getting paid less, how does this not completely piss them off? Seems like a very short sighted strategy.

Washington plays this stupid man D in their zone which is why we match up well with them with all our east west play. It’s so dumb. Very few teams do it (Philly does under AV as we used to)

but when you do it well you transition well but it takes time to figure out. caps are going thru it for sure.
