Igor really needs to stop with these lapses in concentration. Why is it so f***ing hard to do your f***ing job for 60 minutes?

He has a .918 sv% and 2.36 GAA. He’s top 15 among starters in both. His job isn’t to get shutouts. He does his job. How about the other guys who have trouble doing their job for 12-18 minutes per night? Shesterkin does his for 59.9 minutes. It’s not a great goal to give up, but if one goal cripples the team, it’s not on the goalie. Shesterkin’s job isn’t to be perfect.

His ZERO career shutouts say otherwise. The guy is unable to have a full 60 minute effort.

Your hyperbole and drama are too much.

Why are shutouts the marker of his ability to be this teams goaltender. Why is it not how many goals he gives up or how many saves he makes.

Because it doesn't fit your narrative. Thats why.

CK seems like a great locker room guy. Just wish he’d pitch in more (though I realize he scored today) offensively. $6.5MM is a lot for leadership and speed.

Better come out ready from start to finish in the third because this can turn quickly. That goal will have WSH flying in the third. They're down two now. Can't let up. Would hate for them to blow a game like this today. That would be demoralizing.

that goal is on Zibanejad. He has to be a healthy scratch until he recovers because he is even worse than Brendan Lemieux who is not an NHL player right now. He is pure crap in every zone, every shift.

You know there comes a time when putting the player out game after game to finally breaks out is bad for the player—total lose of confidence for Zibs.

We know Quinn has no choice to play Zibs with the Rangers having a losing record but it maybe time to just sit him a few games to see if he can just relax.

Watching a supremely talented player like Shesterkin give up a questionable goal each night should maybe out things in perspective for people who shit all over Hank for a decade.

Hank would have these stretches too but it seems like Shesterkin is worse at it. His best saves rival anyone's and he doesn't give up that many goals overall but he just can't help himself with his concentration lapses.

Looks like this is a jinx worthy game. Gripe about someone or a unit and it subsequently finds success. So...

Well we hit our 3 goal quota and enter the 3rd with a cushion. Guess we ought to collapse and play prevent. No reason to keep our foot on the gas and play to win. No reason to get away from our inability to close games out now.

Prove me wrong, Rangers.

Exactly. Shesty has been good. That goal was all on Zibs. Lazy play.

It really wasn't that bad of a goal. Perfect shot. Shesty has played well. Goalies do give up goals.
If he dropped down that was probably into his body. He likes to catch everything with his glove. It was a very well-placed shot but from that angle it shouldn't matter. Any goalie will tell you that's one they want every time.

I won't kill him for it but it's a soft goal.
