Yeah but this year they've actually added legitimate, veteran AHL talent at every position. Shaping up to be a good season for the team.

Now at least one of those defenseman will be up with the Rangers, but otherwise, those are good veteran players that Hartford has lacked (at least at the start of recent seasons).

I pay for AHL live, but I think a lot people do it for free via hockeystreams.

Unfortunately, HockeyStreams isn't free. Far from it. But for less than the cost of an AHL Live subscription, a subscription to HockeyStreams gets you the NHL, AHL, all the Canadian junior leagues and some other stuff.

When I last re-upped on HS it was $100 for 12 months. Not sure what the current rate is, but it's somewhere around there I'm sure.

I would not be against adding another "fighter" for Hartford to take the load off of McIlrath, but Tanarsky is is neither a good fighter nor a good player.

I'd rather have signed a Justin Johnson, who at least is good in one of those two catagories.
