Tokarski has played 7 games since the 2014 ECF. Six with the Habs, and one with the Ducks.

Don't pencil him in for the NHL job just yet.

I like the signing, Hartford needs to have good consistent goaltending and a trio of Georgiev/Mezanec and now Tokarski should provide them that. Also healthy competition for back up spot. I can see all three guys getting backup time with NYR throughout.

Georgiev was already better than Tokarski by Xmas last year.

Dustin will be third on the depth chart in training camp. This is an insurance policy and an additional AHL goalie with experience.

If anything, this reaffirms that the job is Georgiev's to lose.
