Rangers shortened name

This arose on a thread in the Trade Rumors etc section and it still kind of irks me that we don't have a shortened name. I'm a pretty lazy person and when talking about teams I shorten their name like many others (Canes, Habs, Yotes, Caps etc you get the idea) Most teams have a shortened name besides the Panthers and the Rangers. What would you prefer the Rangers shortened name to be? Ideas- Ranes, Rags (controversial one, can be insulting), Yorks??? Help me think, I'm pretty bored and would be nice to finally have a shortened name. Yes, I know it's pointless and is the smallest thing etc but this is something that has minorly bothered me when it shouldn't. I'm all for Ranes

Rags--I lost my **** over this when I was a mod/admin/whatever I was at the time and then again once I went back to regular user status. It's not going to change, so even though it's incredibly irksome to many (myself included), it's best to just accept it's permissible and move on.

There's no diminutive for Rangers. Just type the extra three letters or say the extra syllable.

Why don't the mods just remove the word- such as they do with curses?

The use of it pisses me off.
