Some sucker will bite on Kreider but I don't know what else they can do. Trouba is going to be as difficult as possible and refuse to be traded. It's a bad thing for everyone. Not just for the Rangers either. That f***ing flying elbow is going to be taking down plenty of players before his deal runs out. Also, they just called up Rempe, who is not interested in being a competitive player and just wants to injure his opponents.

They're going down swinging, quite literally.

Tried to trade Trouba all offseason.
Yeah and if you followed the story there were several teams interested.

6.5 million 2.5 years scores 30+ a year 33 so will be 25 last year.

I can see a team needing goal scoring go for that. 9 so far this year.
Obviously…there would be teams lining up

The NYR problem is all the people they want to get rid of haave negative value. No one is trading for Mika / Trouba and giving you assets to upgrade your team.

Kreider prob fetches something from a contender though. Not sure what the NYR fan consensus is on him but as a rival fan, Id love to see him gone
It was literally confirmed this past offseason that Trouba did not have negative value.

He's not the same guy, they'd have to retain a shit ton and be in the right system.

The Avs had interest in Kreider previously, and if I remember correctly were in talks to trade for him until the Rangers decided to re-sign him instead. Wonder if they take a look again, though their depth is predominantly at wing (when everyone is healthy).
who goes the other way? nuke, colton?

If i was them, I'd be really conflicted about keeping Shesterkin... he is keeping them a contender, but alloting that much cap to a goalie is the antithesis of modern roster building.

Trouba doesn't surprise me here. Kreider does.

Kreider is the only other major vet with limited trade protection. Zibenijad (mentioned frequently here) has a full NMC until the final year's trade deadline. Panarin has a full NMC until the very end. Trocheck's NMC opens up to a modified NTC next year.

I guess if you want to consider Fox a vet he doesn't have any trade protection right now (NMC apparently starts next year), but would guess he's off-limits. And Shesterkin is presumably off-limits too. So that leaves Kreider and Trouba as the obvious candidates to be moved.

Chris Krieder for Alex Tuch?

Allows Laffy to get on top pp and play in his natural position.

They're on pace to finish the year with 108 points and are 8th in the NHL in point%.

Kinda weird to start panicking right now.
That's because you haven't watched them play every game probably.

I don't mean that offensively; they have been absolutely atrocious. Getting caved in by shit teams in time of possession and shot differential. Quick and Igor have stolen at least 6 of those wins.

With average goaltending they're a .500 team right now
