it is a shame we have to pay full price again for those stupid pre season games. They should be part of the package or not included at all. My two 86 dollar tickets is like throwing away $ 516. I feel bad for people whose tickets are even more money. Its is so dumb that we have to pay full price for that crap. I like how they will give 10% back on playoff tickets yet they raised them about 34%. Typical BS with Dolan and the Rangers.

If the pre season tickets are going to be full price I will be out $468 per game.

That's $540 per game for me, $1,620.00 total.

4 Gallery seats @ $135 per ticket.

OUCH !!!

I know it's still the same total outlay of money but I would rather they raise the price of each regular season ticket to get to the same total and not charge anything for the pre-season games. That way if you sell any regular season games for the face value that's printed on the ticket you have a better chance of recouping your money.

What is the FanFest?

It's the summer party at the Rangers training facility upstate. They have a bunch of stuff for the kids (bouncy house, face painting, hockey drills & pick up street hockey), and stuff like skating on the practice rink, taking pictures with alumn & sometimes current players, free food, carnival games, free swag etc...

Agreed. Take my seats. $56 each next year. Well, if they make the regular season $59, and the pre-season $15, the cost of the entire package is still the same. 56*44=$2,464. $59*41=2419; 15*3=45. 2419+45=2464.

Just wondering if anyone knows the rate increase for a half season? Right now have a mini plan and put a deposit in. Does it become cheaper in ticket price from the mini plan to the half season? I don't expect the prices here as they are for full season. Has anyone had that experience? Also, what would the odds be of getting upper bowl half season seats with holding 1 year with the team on a mini plan? I just don't want to be out 250 for myself and not potentially get something in the 200s, bridges, or balcony seating.

If you value the 3 preseason seats at zero and spread the cost across the other 41 games, tickets go from

2013-14 to 2014-15
$49 to $54.73 (+11.7%)
$53 to $60.10 (+13.4%)
$56 to $63.32 (+13.1%)
$76 to $83.71 (+10.1%)
$82 to $92.29 (+12.6%)

We are so smart, why can't the Rangers figure it out.

Does the 10% rebate come after the playoffs, or youre charged the amount with the rebate included. I cant seem to remember. Im in the blues so for the round by round 1st round am i charged $624 or $560. That 4th game should roll over for sure, unless we somehow get that 2nd seed.

Last time you paid full price up front for 4 games in round one. Then in round two, they charged you 90% of the round 2 cost, minus unplayed games from round 1, minus 10% of what you paid in round 1. Then rounds 3 & 4 were to be charged at 90% minus any unplayed games from previous rounds. At the end of all that you get a refund on your card or a credit to next year for any unplayed games, depending on the option you selected on the invoice

FYI: I will be spreading the cost of preseason tickets across 41 regular season home games for a "true" face value when I sell.

Just sayin'

Gotcha...thanks so much!

yup.. much easier to just ask people to pay, in my case in the upper 200's, $60 rather than $56.

I plan on doing the same, but its going to be rough for bad dates and games like vs florida type of games. Especially the higher the ticket price goes. It was so easy when it was $100 for a pair in blues, the $102 just irks me.

Don't sell games individually. Package less popular games like florida with a popular game.

It seems like more and more STHs try to sell as many games as they can. I wish the Rangers would offer more 10-20 game plans in the upper bowl.

Also, Dolan said Knicks tickets will not be increasing next season.
I know, he should have done the same with Ranger tickets, I'm just breaking even on those not including the games I go to. But I'm not complaining, I netted almost $10K off Knick tickets this year, and they were putrid. Thanks Jimbo! :D

Nice little side gig !

Just throwing this out there…is anybody interested in splitting season tickets with me next year? I have the $56 price point and my season ticket partner is moving away in the summer :(

I have two seats in section 119. Some of the best value seats in MSG in my opinion - close to the action but the first row of the lower price point. I have a tough job schedule wise and three small kids at home, so I cannot make it to that many games. I'm renewing again for this year but would love to bring in a partner for a significant portion of the games. STH price for '14-'15 is $140/seat. Please PM me if you are interested in buying a significant portion of next season or have a "shared" proposal (I am willing to provide face value access to a % of playoff tickets as well).

I actually emailed my rep asking about something like this. She said she had never heard of something like this, but would pass on the info. Said she doesn't think it could be done for this year, but she would ask about it and maybe next year. I even offered to do the arithmetic for them!

They really should offer a standardized way of soliciting feedback & suggestions from their STHs. Instead, they blast out surveys with preconceived topics and focus on which sauce you prefer on which foods at the concessions stands. Those surveys aren't cheap either, they pay firms good money to conduct them and basically learn nothing new
