Jones will never play a game for the Rangers. Good trade bait though. Rangers are going to get much bigger on defense over the next 2-3 years. That's what you need to do in order to win cups. Left side should be Miller, Lindgren and Robertson for quite some time. Or maybe Hajek if he breaks out this or next year. Though, that's looking less likely now. Schneider to me is going to be a kid that will need very little AHL time. I would not be surprised to see him make the team next year. He's 19 so I believe he will be eligible to play next year in the AHL. Not sure. A lot of teams for many years are going to regret letting him slip to where the Rangers drafted him. For a player that is as physical as he is he gets very few penalties. I hope he's taking boxing lessons. If you are going to throw big hits in the NHL, there are still lots of morons that will try to fight you to look good to their teammates. Ask Lindgren.

Zac Jones putting up points is like saying "Bloody Mary" in front of a mirror 3 times. Only it summons you to bitch about the exact same thing

Henriksson broke out in a big way with his first two goals and an assist today. Just kidding, he was scoreless as usual, giving him 4 assists (2 secondary assists on ENGs) in 26 games.

Ragnarsson had 4 PIM and only played 6 minutes.

Rykov was -1 in 15 minutes.

Tärnström played for the HockeyEttan club and scored a goal.

My goodness so basically 2 points in 26 games. I don't care if he is as good defensively as Patrice Bergeron that is terrible. And Holtz and Raymond missed him too lol . Try to figure that one out?!
That's ok I have a solution just put him between Lafreniere and Kakko in a few years. lol

Sweden missed a lot more than just Henriksson, but yes. He would have made a difference for them at the WJC level.

Jeez, the joke is on me. I should have known better.

Sjalin had no points and was +1 in just over nine minutes. No word on if he picked up a knock or something.

Raganrsson was -1 with a shot in about 11 minutes.

Yeah, he might be one of those who can’t help but get injured on a very regular basis.

It's too bad, it has really held him back. Not sure he has any standout skills that ever would have made him an NHL player, but it sure didn't help his development.

For sure. The Rangers were able to pick him up in the first place (or rather he dropped to where the Ranger felt comfortable picking him up) because he suffered injury pre-draft and but this trend unfortunately continued and surely impacted his development.

another bust. time to move on
They have until June 1 to sign him. At this point I don't think they will. He'd need to have a really strong finish, I think, to get a contract. He's 21 (and will be until September) while playing decent minutes (~16:00) in the third-best league in the world, so it's not like he's a bum. If they think there's another step for him developmentally he might be worth a contract.

It's HFBoards. I've seen people calling Buchnevich, a third-round pick who racked up 147 points in 247 games, a bust.

McJesus or bust.

And he has grown every season. I do not see him regressing or halting in development at all.

I hope when all is said and done (before what I think may eventually become a Blackhawks after the first cup situation if a lot breaks right ...)we could have 4-6 elite scorers on this team at once. It is totally possible as we are so young with shitloads of potential all over the ice like I've never seen before.

We are set up, again if A LOT breaks right, to do insane damage for a very long time.

Buchnevich is a mental moron. More than any player we had, he showed he's not the playoff type. I would try to get rid of him at all costs. As far as Henriksson goes. He's failing miserably in the SHL. I would get him to the AHL as soon as possible and hope the coaches there can get him to produce offensively.

If most successful PPs have a righty at the blue line, I think that's coincidental. I can't imagine what advantage it would be by itself. As long as Panarin is here, and more gets run through the left wall than not, I think it would be more advantageous for a lefty at the point (however, I don't think Lindgren is ready for that!).
I think it's because right-handed players who are also right-handed shooters tend to have better shots because their dominant hand is on the bottom. With the result that many of the best point shooters are righties.

it did not work with Kovacs who had better numbers in the SHL

Another blatantly incorrect and piss poor take for an assessment of a player.

Thoughts on Larry reporting the team tried To sign Schneider to his ELC in December but they were “unsuccessful”?

what does that even mean?

Larry’s always talking about Lundkvist jumping ship due to depth, but maybe it’s Schneider instead lol
