Here we go!!

Should be a fun list this time around again, a few players should be moving up in the Rankings.

NOTE: We are still going by the HF Criteria of a prospect. Kakko, Fox and Lindgren are STILL considered prospects until they play 65 games so this will be their final appearances on the list (knock on wood).

Georgiev has graduated since our last list and there will be no unofficial votes this time around, the 3 players on the unofficial list are all graduated. @nyr2k2 please let me know if anyone else from the list graduated.

Looks good.

No to Andersson.

EDIT: I swear I ticked Kakko, but apparently I ticked Shesterkin. Kakko would be my vote here. Shesterkin would probably be my #2 so not a big deal.

Kakko for sure. I expected a bit more but that's on me. He's still just 18.

I'd include Andersson. He's still our property until he isn't.....and who knows maybe he won't move and return. I'm not sure where I'd rank him though. I'm thinking probably outside the top 10.

Exclude Andersson. We all know what a shitshow that thread will turn into if he's in. Just not worth it.

As for prospect vote, it's obviously Kakko

I dumbly assumed Kakko wasn’t on the list and voted Kravtsov. Can you count my vote to Kakko?
I edited the poll to allow users to change their votes, let me know when you're done because I'd like to change it back

shesty has to be #1

kids A numbers are scary good and mirror the numbers he had in the K.

this kid is a sub 2 GAA plus .930 SV% kid. his numbers the last 3 1/3 seasons are other worldly

118 games. 86 wins - 16 losses with 28 shutouts. .939 sv% 1.60 GAA

hes gonna be special.

Also, regarding Andersson's eligibility: it's not explicitly stated in the OP but Andersson has played 66 NHL games, with 65 being the threshold for losing your prospect status. So it's not (or shouldn't) be a question of whether you want him included because of the situation with suspension, but whether or not you want to include him despite technically losing his prospect eligibility by two games.

I can see the argument over VK, Miller, and Lundkvist... but over Kakko?!?

Barron to me is like Lindgren (who you all know I love): a really useful, really likable player with limited upside. I think he'll be a very good pro, but I can't put him above guys like Jones, Robertson, Reunanen, Rykov, or Hajek who I all think have greater upside (albeit from the back end). And I also couldn't in good faith put him ahead of Lindgren, who's already excelling in the NHL. Well--maybe he'd go in the middle of some of those defensemen, but not ahead of all of them, particularly Jones.

Also shows we really could use some more forwards in the pipeline.

Did the same thing didn't think Kakko would be on and clicked on Shesty but you can't go wrong with either. What Shesty is doing in Hartford is just tremendous

Add Keane

Strong AHL showing and he's pretty close to being an NHL player. Jones and Barron are killing the NCAA, but Keane is an AHL all star at 20.

Last time it was Shesterkin vs Kravtsov for the second spot. Now Shesterkin elevated himself into #1 discussion on the best prospect pool in the NHL, and not because of a better prospect graduation.

In terms of big changes I think Fox and Shesty leapfrog Kravtsov, Jones and Keane make gains to the detriment of Reunanen and Robertson, and Wall climbs to where he's pushing top 20.

Miller vs. Lundkvist for what I assume will be #5 will be very interesting this time around.

I'll predict it goes

1. Kakko
2. Igor
3. Fox
4. Kravtsov
5. Miller
6. Lundkvist

And then maybe Jones and Robertson and a significant drop-off.

Another thing that's becoming painfully evident is that our pool is way too D heavy. We need to stock up 2-3 first round picks this draft and go all out on forwards, specifically centers unless we really believe Mika and Fil down the middle is enough to compete.
