TIE BREAKER will only occur in the last few rounds if the top 2 players end with the same number of votes (instead of +/- 3)

Day. Bit surprised Huska beat him last round
Not knocking your vote, but I have no hope left for Day. Players don't suddenly grow hockey sense overnight, or over the course of an offseason.

He has great physical gifts, but his awareness is just so, so low. Even in juniors he looked abnormally slow in his decision-making. It's just getting exacerbated now that he's trying to play at a higher level. I don't even think he's going to be an AHL-level player at this point. Maybe borderline.

Wall, add O'Gara.

Wall plays for a much better team than Huska, but I think they're pretty close. I was worried Wall was a flash in the pan, but he has rebounded well.

Day is doing okay in the AHL. He doesn't look good, but he's not egregiously bad. I'd wager career-AHLer for him, at this point.

6th round picks are generally exempt from any unrealistic expectations, but with a name like Wall, he has to amount to something, right?!

Right?

Wall is having the better season and he's almost a year younger. Right now I think Wall has a bit more value.

It's tough for me to say, at this point.

His Freshman year, Wall played Huska about even, despite the relative strengths of the defenses in front of them (UML is vastly superior to UConn). As you said, however, Wall is about seven months younger. Then in their Sophomore campaigns, Huska basically repeated his success (despite injury) while Wall had one of the worst seasons you could imagine. Now this year, Huska is having a rough go of it, and Wall is having a great campaign--albeit behind the team conceding the ninth-fewest shots in college hockey, while Huska's UConn team allows over 31 shots per game and sits around the bottom third in that respect.

So, I don't know--I think in general they've been fairly comparable over their careers and the half-year age difference doesn't really move me much. I also like that Huska has extensive international experience, including two WJCs where he was shelled but actually played pretty well. The last genuinely good team he played on was that USHL team where he was USHL's Goaltender of the Year. I obviously lean towards Huska but can understand the appeal of Wall (though I'm not quite ready to wipe away his 12 horrible games with his 15 excellent games form this year).

Either way, now that Huska is off the board, Wall needs to go, too, since they should be considered really close.

add Crawley, Hughes, Halverson or Gropp
i see the love above for OGara.

After these 11, what remains
(Lakatos, Nanne, Nell, Kjellberg, Leedahl, Bernhardt)
seem to be the longest long-shots ...
if Lakatos' rights extended past this summer, maybe he'd be above that line ...

Bernhardt (for sure) and Lakatos are likely not signed this summer, and we lose their rights.

Bigras, Fogarty, Gilmour, Nieves, and O'Gara would all lose eligibility at the end of the season, and who knows if any are brought back (I'd bet on Bigras and Nieves, maybe O'Gara).

Nell and Halverson are probably gone as well.

Wall. Crawley.

Not a fan of Day's anymore. Personally I think he's the worst player up and I'd take Crawley over him too.
