Went Day over Gilmour. If I'm going to gamble on a talented player who needs to overcome serious deficiencies to make the NHL, I'll go with the younger one.

Add Hughes, who I would have over anyone currently in the poll.

Went Fogarty again. Add Ronning.

Fogarty clearly has lower upside than most currently left here, but his entire career up to this point seems to be a story of slow, incremental improvement. Throughout his college and pro careers, he seems to very slowly get better from year to year. He might end up as a P.A. Parenteau-type player who finally makes the big show in their mid-to-late 20s and turns into a useful player. That's worth a vote at the #26 spot to me.

add Hughes, Ronning or Crawley.
After Gropp and Halverson, pickings getting pretty thin.
Nanne and Lakatos, maybe,
but its iffy if NYR sign Lakatos before rights expire June 1

Huska, add O'Gara

I wanted to go with Nanne, who picked up his 8th point of the season this weekend playing D for Minnesota, but without any real scouting reports on Nanne it's hard to tell if there's anything there. Even Rob O'Gara put up better numbers as a 22 year old in NCAA. And he's played some NHL minutes, which is still a dream for Nanne at this point. So for now, I'll go with Bobby OG.

Nanne is a good skater, moves the puck around pretty good. Skating is his best attribute. I remember seeing him score last year and he had a good shot. I've only seen him in twice this year, both in games against Wisconsin. I don't remember him getting many shots. He did get some PP time. He's neither big nor particularly strong. Otherwise he's reasonably sound defensively--he's not trying to be John Gilmour out there (LOL).

Anyway, I root for him because of what he's been through. If we had to sign him this year, I can't imagine he'd get a deal. We have another year. He'll need to really blow up his Senior year if he has any shot at a deal. Maybe he gets an AHL contract. Who knows.

For anyone who hasn't voted and can't see the votes, it's tied among Day, Huska, and Wall, with 6 each. Please coordinate your voting accordingly so we don't have to do another tiebreaker. LOL.
