SUMMER LIST (All nominations can be found here)
Tell me who you want added.
Added: Meskanen

I'm going to be without a computer till Thursday night so the next poll will be started then.

Voted Lindgren

Tarmo. Getting (and more importantly, earning) tons of ice time in an adult league. I think this guy could be a player. Add Lettieri? I guess?

Lindgren.

I like Tarmo a lot--I have tracked him and provided updates on him since back when he was a second-pairing guy in Mestis. His D+1 campaign was mediocre in a poor league and his D+2 campaign was objectively poor (maybe for factors out of his control). He has been great this year. I want to see another year of high-level, consistent play. If he can do that he's a top ten guy for me.

Keeping with the D, add Calle Sjalin.

I'm going with Reunanen. I think he was overdue for a season like this (maybe a year earlier from when the Rangers drafted him and given his injuries). Being a number 1 D regularly playing over 25+ minutes in Liiga is pretty much on par with what Lindgren has done in the AHL. But Tarmo's ceiling is higher - my justification in taking him over the American.

Edit: Add Pujaniemi who's doing well in Liiga.

Lindgren is an easy choice. I think he suffers from a lack of flash...

How is Nieves still considered a prospect? 24 Years Old and 42 Games played in the NHL

Reunanen, add Lettieri.

e - add Boo, actually. The more I think about it, the more I fear Lettieri is just a AAAA player.
I like Lettieri. He's such a good AHL player. It's just that in his 35 NHL games he done basically nothing with his opportunity. Didn't he score in his first game? And then 4 assists the next 34 games. He's about to be 24 so he still has a little time to find a niche in the NHL, but if he keeps posting bagels the opportunities will dwindle.

I feel like if by 25 you haven't found even a part-time spot, you're probably never going to. For forwards, certainly. Maybe a little longer for defensemen and goalies.

Yeah, I think just stopping and thinking harder about him today, I've dropped him a couple spots.

Comparing him to Boo he is certainly the better minor league player, but for the role that they're going to be asked to play in the NHL, Boo is much better equipped. I have a difficult time pinning an actual ceiling to Lettieri. Like, where will his game fit in? The hope was always a Pirri-lite with better D but his shot isn't overpowering at this level, so...

Meskanen is a similar concern for me (I remember thinking that he looked like a slower Lettieri in pre-season), but he's much-improved by all accounts and hasn't had the opportunity to fit in with the Rangers yet. It wasn't until I kind of set the two against each other in my mind today that I realized I had a weird blindspot for Lettieri. No idea why; I used to think he was overrated and I don't even like his skillset all that much.

Tarmo Reunanen

I think this is too early for Lindgren, he's been OK in Hartford, nothing more nothing less and i don't Think his upside is very high.
