Everyone has a guy or two they they feel like are very underrated on the list...well mine is Gettinger. Should be in the top 20 IMO.

Huge 6'6 winger who has improved every season by putting up 15 more points than each of the previous seasons. Looking forward to see if he can make a quick adjustment at the pro level.

Gettinger. If his skating is enough he could be a nice player. If not, he's Bruce Graham.

Add Gropp.

Gilmore. Add Lakatos. For some reason I feel he’s going to get on the radar this season.

Fontaine looks likes he’s going to be a bottom 6 nhler. That’s gotts get you on a teams top 30 prospect list ahead of a lot of guys.

It depends. There are good 4th liners and then there are 4th liners.

There are a lot of long-time NHL 4th line players who play many seasons that could very easily be interchanged with any number of guys in the AHL with minimal difference. But since NHL experience builds credentials, a player that shows well for a period in the NHL will be trusted with further responsibilities as a known commodity, rather than an unknown from the AHL. It doesn't make them objectively better, but just a safer pick.

So there's a big gap for me between, say, developing a GOOD 4th liner in Jesper Fast who actually plays his role better than most, and just someone who ends up playing a lot of games on the 4th line.

Have Gettinger/Fontaine/Nieves PK'ed on the regular? That will be a key determining factor if they can niche out a regular bottom 6 role. Speed, a little bit of scoring ability and being able to be a quality penalty killer.

Haven't really followed this but Calle Själin not being in yet is insane.

Sorry, but you guys failed :P
Eh, maybe, maybe not. He was up and down. We've had this discussion about him before. I know you had him pegged with some impressive possession statistics early. Then he gets injured a goes from Leksands' second pair to splitting time in the U20, being the 7th D for Leksands, and being a scratch. Plays almost no role in their qualification tournament. It's hard for me to believe that if he was as good as the Corsi suggested early that they just write him out of the script later on. He also wasn't really even given a shot at making any important U20 teams.

I don't know, he's only 18 so the things above may not be a problem, and he could have a nice year where he sticks with the big club and then he'd shoot up the list. But his draft position, all the scouting reports I've read, the very little I've seen, he doesn't look like anything impressive. I think all the D we have up there possess better upside, a better chance of sticking in the NHL, or a combination of the two.

Who knows, time will tell.

And your boy Herman already has some things on his list that are crazy to me. ;) So, to each his or her own.
