C Filip Chytil unanimously won round 3. D Neal Pionk is added to the poll. G Adam Huska is replacing Bereglazov because of common sense.

WHO IS A PROSPECT:

SKATER PROSPECT: A player 24 or younger with 50 or fewer NHL games.

GOALIE PROSPECT: A player 25 or younger with 25 or fewer NHL games.

EXCEPTION 1: If a player completed the required 50/25 games, but is still not regarded as an NHL regular because he's shuffling between the NHL and the AHL, he could still be a prospect as long as he's 24 or younger and if agreed upon by most people here.

EXCEPTION 2: A player who is no older than 25 years old at the time of the vote and is a borderline NHLer could still count if agreed upon by most people here.

After getting to see Nieves play, he's definitely got 3C potential at this point. He's been solid on the 4th line, which has been one of the team's best for quite a decent stretch.

The add is difficult at this point in the game, but there are 4 players that I can see as adds: Ronning, Gettinger, Morgan Barron, and Sean Day (who is completely off this list somehow.) Please include Sean Day on the list of eligible prospects.
 
The quality drops a ton here. Nieves is the safe choice, but does not have a huge upside. Angelo should play in the NHL too, but not having a great season. Graves is the biggest risk because of the missing tool box, but has the most upside due to great tools. Normally I pooh-pooh anyone without a toolbox because it's the most important aspect, but Graves has so many great tools that if he can put it together, he could be a great top-4 NHL defenseman. I'll give him a shot here, hoping he'll pull it up the rest of the season.

Add Ronning because he scores more often than the sun shines.
 
Why would Huska replace Bereglazov? I don't particularily agree with that at all. Bereglazov was voted high this summer for a reason, i don't think he should fall that much honestly just because he didn't make the team.

Three people in favor of Bereglazov being replaced, and Pionk and Huska got the most votes to be added. Who cares ultimately? If Bereglazov deserves to win a poll round, he will be added soon enough. Doubt he'd be getting any votes this round anyway. Vote to add Bereglazov if you so choose.

Graves, add Sjalin.

I think its close between Graves, DeAngelo and Pionk, but I'm not sure DeAngelo has the skill-set to be anything other than a #6 PP specialist who is bad defensively. The other two I think could do more both ways, I think Graves is the more NHL-ready option of the two, and probably the overall better player.
 
DeAngelo. After a (really) slow start in HFD, he's got 10 pts and 31 shots over his last 12 games. Add Day

I still like his long-term potential, and like the rest of Hartford he's turning a bit of a corner.

Nieves is the guy already up in the NHL. The question as to whether he finds a permanent place there with the Rangers will likely come down to what he can bring in addition to speed. It's also the difference between a Freddy Sjostrom like career or whether he's a guy who mans fourth lines for the next 10 years.

Graves is a guy who has fallen off track a little. There was a time when there wasn't a heck of a whole lot separating him and Skjei on the development curve. But he's plateaued a bit the last two years.
 
To me D'Angelo is the only one of these guys who could be an impact player in the NHL and that pushes him over for me. Add Ronning.
 
D'Angelo was a dominant player in the AHL in his first year, finally coming around in Hartford but has impact player potential still. Graves while deserving an NHL cup of tea appears to be more of a 5-6 pairing guy. I really hope we can open up some room on the left side for him because after 2.5 seasons in the AHL he deserves to get some games in. You have to give your homegrown guys a shot. Pionk to me needs continued seasoning in the AHL before he's grouped with the other two.
