D Neal Pionk won round 9. RW Nicklas Jensen is added to the poll.

RULES CHANGE:

Since HF no longer functions beyond the forum, no reason to have their old rules. We do, however, need the same rules for everyone or else the rankings mean nothing.

SKATER PROSPECT: A player 24 or younger with 50 or fewer NHL games.

GOALIE PROSPECT: A player 25 or younger with 25 or fewer NHL games.

EXCEPTION 1: If a player completed the required 50/25 games, but is still not regarded as an NHL regular because he's shuffling between the NHL and the AHL, he could still be a prospect as long as he's 24 or younger and if agreed upon by most people here.

EXCEPTION 2: A player who is no older than 25 years old at the time of the vote and is a borderline NHLer could still count if agreed upon by most people here.

Please vote on who to add to the next round of polling.

5-10 on this list can really be interchangeable, I think Huska and Wall are lower than they should be but understand the upside of some and the nhl readyness of others. Its not sexy rating goalies high.

But have to give credit to JG, solid turn around from a year ago where outside of top 5 everyone was very questionable to ever make it. Now guys like Kovacs, Gropp, Gettinger, Fontaine, even Boo, who still need to do plenty to prove themselves can develop slowly without being called busts etc.

It would be nice to add 2 more blue chips guys into the system, then I'd think it's really solid.

Easily Huska for me, add Gettinger, agree with Hunter that this is an easy add imo.

agree mostly with above
i do think that aside from maybe Jensen, the next 3 guys deserve to be G or D (Wall, Zbo, Huska)

RE "nice to add 2 more blue chips guys"
the guy i would love to see land with NYR is Pionk's former teammate,
Dominic Toninato, can be UFA Aug 15, if not signed by TML,
not incredible scoring stats at Minn-Duluth,
but had strong 2-way seasons as #1/#2 C the last 2 seasons

This is one of the more difficult rounds.

Went with Huska. Goalies had previously been noted as organizational strength and while we saw positive developments by skater-prospects, goalies also continued to impress.

Add Kovacs

Gropp.

Nieves is what he is.

Need more than 21 games from Huska to rank him higher.

I'd agree but he played in more than 21 games since the Rangers drafted him two years ago. Are you thinking of Wall?
