Rangers interested in Joel Quenville

Yeah that’s a great slogan and it may be true but you can’t get rid of the players so what are the options?
The east coast doesnt fall into the ocean, the Rangers have a few middling seasons until contracts run out or guys ask for trades, and another disappointing Game of Thrones series hits HBO.

Hiring a guy who probably covered up rape doesn't change any of that, so you just do you best and move forward. And not hire the guy probably who probably covered up rape.

I don’t know much about him. Is he known as a “tough” coach who holds players accountable?

Not going to lie, Q would be intriguing. But it would also be another get out of jail for free -card for this rotten core. Not like Lavy is a bad coach either. I have zero belief that Q would do something drastically different.

I will admit that I have not spent the time trying to figure out all of the details in the Kyle Beech situation. But I've understood that Q didn't do anything egregious in the case. He has been cleared by the league as well.

I don't think there would be an issue regarding that. Bowman was in a much bigger role, he was hired by a Canadian team (more media attention), and that discussion died down in like a week.

He wasn’t cleared by the league, he had to apply for reinstatement.

Egregious is a very poor word here.
He was in a meeting where they discussed what happened and everyone in the room decided not to go to the police.

The only one who was actually cleared by the league was Chevy.

His hallmark is puck possession, breakouts, and transition.

I think all that stuff just gets them a much better regular season record and does nothing to change their playoff problems.

Oh please. Another coach for these players? 4th? Time to realize what the problem is.

Hint: It's not the coach.

Problem is the coach is very much like the previous coaches: coddles certain players, doesn't hold players accountable outside of young players and 3rd-4th liners, abstains from changing lines, pairings, PP, holds onto timeouts like a junkie does a crackpipe.

Don't get me wrong: we have players that are beginning to stink more than 3-day old fish, but Lavy has showed me nothing to make me scratch my head if he were to be released; maybe if they only got rid of him and no one else.

Get rid of the players. At least some of them.

At this point, after 3 coaches in how many years, nothing is going to change unless the players do. Another coach might result in another successful spike but this core had proven it cannot do what needs to be done to win a Cup. If that's the goal then my first sentence has to be the goal as well.
