Strome had his worse game of the year. Surprising coming off a 3 pt effort. He really stunk it up. Even Panarin didn't have his A game. Yeah he had some chances and made that pass to Fast, but overall with the turnovers not his best game. We were due to lose one anyway. Let's toss this one out and bring it Sunday. Might see Hank throw a shutout for old times sake.

Why not? They are right there. The roster was good enough to win 9 of 10 and 9 in a row on the road. Do they all of a sudden suck after 1 loss?

if they make it, great, if they don’t ok.

half the kids aren’t even here yet while Kakko is still trying to find his game. The meltdown by some, calling this game “embarrassing” etc is laughable. Open your eyes

In all seriousness, they looked pretty good early on this game. I think they just ran out of gas and didn't have the energy to manage the disruptive force of losing their 1RW mid-game.

Exactly. The gas tank was on empty and the played a Flyer team who was off since Tuesday and has lost 5 games at home. Nothing about this game surprises me.

If it is Hank on Sunday, talk about a bad situation to come in. Haven’t played in almost a month. Playing a team who just blew you out. 12 noon start time. One of the best players on the team is going to be out. Defense hasn’t been particularly good lately.

Hoping he can come in and look vintage. Deck is stacked against him but I still have faith in him.

The playoffs would have been an uphill battle even if they were completely healthy. A shit load of games against tons of quality teams in a short amount of time (because for some reason they had to go 2 weeks between playing games at the start of the season) is a tall task for anyone, let alone this group.

The rest of the season is pretty much playing with house's money for me. Even if they can't pull it out they did a heck of a job pulling themselves back into this thing considering all of the dead weight they're still carrying around.

Open my eyes about what exactly hotshot? I agree the overreactions are comical and have said so. This team is still right there and didn't lose any ground.

they were in Montreal last night and traveled to a well rested and more mature Flyers team. Meanwhile, the Rangers still have a stiff like Staal on the roster, who can barely play on a good day, while back to back including travel is destined for a mistake.

Rebuild continues

Maybe he will have a game like he did against Detroit when they won 1-0.

Tired group, they didn't look themselves. Would be nice to be able to fill in Kreiders spot with someone who won't wreck that line so the Panarin strome line can stay in tact. Top to bottom this team looked fatigued. Hopefully they get home and rest in their own beds and get ready for Sunday

Thank you

Pretty much - and a lot of credit is owed to a well rested, solid Flyers team playing under Year 1 AV. They're legit this year.

That’s a typical Strome game he just didn’t manage the random assist and goal late.

you gotta play hank Sunday. It’s a must win. We always needed a split this weekend. We actually caught a break with Columbus and Carolina losing

but overcoming Shesterkin going down was going to be hard enough losing Kreider and watching quinn force square pegs into round holes the rest of the way to compensate for losing him is a disaster

watching Lemieux on the pp is a joke when you’ve got a Gauthier sitting there

Listen, they had a good start and wore down. Kreider getting hurt, for a team in the situation they were in, was a backbreaker. Kind of one of those nights you felt the wind taken out of the sails. They kept battling. Howden buries a late one. Hang your hat on them carrying over one positive for Sunday, and maybe, just maybe Henrik has a rabbit's foot in him. Playing with house money now. As if it wasn't a longshot, you just lost your irreplaceable 6-3, 225LB speed and size freak who is also your net-front presence on the PP. Strome, Panarin, we can single out anybody we want, bottom line is they all blew. I have more of a problem with the idiot Flyer fans getting hot for a guy in Hayes on pace for 50 points on a $7Mx7 contract. Don't give me this s*** he is a good PKer, either. I have Strome on pace for 70+ at half the price, who also happens to a PKer asked to do the same s***. This is good. Let it simmer for two nights. It's brewing. They're going to club Philly Sunday.

Thought they all played sloppy, but I mean they did only get to Philadelphia at 2pm for some reason. Only 4 hours to get off the plane & to the rink. Must be exhausting.

The refs really shit the bed on some calls, Bowden’s high stick in particular. But they couldn’t get anything going offensively. The PP needs serious work & Lemieux should be far off it. Really really hoping that Kreider’s injury isn’t too serious. A fractured foot in hockey is really hard to come back from....
