Mamba Mentality
Schneider isn’t going anywhere. It probably is, I hated trading Miller at the time and I’ll hate trading Schneider this time around.

Schneider isn’t going anywhere.
Schneider isn’t going anywhere.
I think it’s dumb to not think that’s part of his motivation. And can we stop fellating Drury for taking 4 years to get rid of Goodrow? That’s not admitting a mistake, that’s just putzing around until it looks like a cap casualty. Admitting it was stupid would’ve been ripping off the band aid after year oneYeah it's quite idiotic. The "Drury is trying to justify Kakko" take is the absolute dumbest, as if he didn't jettison Sammy Blais back to St. Louis or creatively dump Goodrow when he needed to. Drury makes some stupid moves but he doesn't seem like he's afraid to admit them and move forward.
Vaakanainen is an RFA, wouldn’t be surprised if he just gets a QO and takes it. Wouldn’t be shocked if Drury extends him 5x2.65M either. If you can get Vaakanainen for pennies, I'd like to keep him. I'm ready to move Jones. Miller I don't know what to do with.
Right, I forgot that. Arb-eligible RFA. So definitely keep him on the QO or whatever he's make in arbitration, which couldn't be much more.Vaakanainen is an RFA, wouldn’t be surprised if he just gets a QO and takes it.
Heard the same thing about Goodrow and Nemeth.
I'm by no means up in arms about this, but it's absolutely a significant commitment based on a small sample size.
Well Schneider has free rein to be a dumpster fire with zero consequences so I doubt there would be much evaluation. Subtracting Lindgren and Schneider though would be massive for this windowI'd like it if they booted Lindgren ASAP and at least gave Schneider a chance next to Fox to see what that looks like before doing anything else.
They're probably going to need to go in another direction, but who knows?
While giving away multiple 2nds to dump Nemeth. And we moved both of them.
Jones and Lindgren will be gone. My guess is going into next season with Vaak and Miller on the roster. Sign a 6/7 just in case Mancini can’t make the jump.If you can get Vaakanainen for pennies, I'd like to keep him. I'm ready to move Jones. Miller I don't know what to do with.
Having to use multiple seconds to get rid of a guy you signed to be a 3rd pair D one year earlier should be the golden snitch for getting fired as a GMWhile giving away multiple 2nds to dump Nemeth.
I agree. Just making a comment.Theres a difference between saying that he was a 6/7 with the sabres and saying that he's been a 6/7 his entire career.
Because Adam Fox was a 5/6 when he came up. Guess what? Shit changes.
if they actually see Schneider as an option on the left, this should be the move. But I have a sneaking suspicion they’re going to self rent Lindgren.Schneider-Fox
Miller-Borgen
Vaakanainen-Mancini/Jones
Trade Lindgren now and let’s see how this defense looks.
My exact thought was Brendan smithI don't know how to feel about this one. On the surface it seems like Brendan Smith 2.0, but $4 million today and in two years is going to be no where near $4 million 8 years ago.
Just keep him away from weddings this summer.
Schneider isn’t going anywhere.
I think that would be a mistake at this juncture.Traded, hopefully
Which makes it even more logical that we overpaid for Borgen and now Miller will cost moreBorgen has a couple of seasons at or above 20 points in Seattle. He’s more Klein-like
