Rangers Draft Viewing Party

Hoping to be there. Anyone go last year? Any opinions?
Still haven’t found out if it’s at garden or the theatre? Wouldn’t it be better suited for the theatre since it’s a more intimate venue ?
 
I'm going! Ironically, I'm a STH and requested 2 tickets, to which I never heard anything back from my rep about. I randomly searched on Ticketmaster and found the event (free of charge) and picked up 2 tickets that were on sale to the public. Not sure why tickets went on sale to the public before season ticket holders?

It is inside the MSG arena from what I'm told. Rangers are doing a horrible job marketing this!
 
I'm going. I have no idea on how it's gonna work though, i just got lucky after someone guessed the Jr. Rangers code. Haven't done this before

It’s in the actual arena this year. I went last year in the theater and it was fun but absolutely packed so I guess they figured with a better pick this year they’d open up the arena. I plan on going again this year though if it was in the theater again I may have stayed home.

Curious if they have players or prospects this year signing autographs. Kravstov is in Connecticut working hard as JD said but his English is limited so leaving him with us crazies may not be in the cards. I can see like Lundkvist since he's heading to NY and maybe someone like K. Miller or Chytil. So my guess is they show it on the scoreboard the entire time with two picks and all?

I went years ago at the theater, it was a lot of fun.

There were prospects last year (Chytil, Andersson, Howden, and I think Hajek) who did a Q&A type thing with the crowd. There was no formal autograph thing but people stopped them coming in and out of the theater. Maybe they didn't do anything like that since it was such a big crowd with limited space. The draft party details were very vague but maybe with access to the entire arena floor they do something like that this year. Kravtsov was confirmed in the email to be there. I'd imagine the other 2018 first rounders could show up too.

Also said in the email that it would be shown on Gardenvision with the arena opening at 7 and running from 8 to 10. Last years draft from when it went on at 8 last justed under 3.5 hours so I'm assuming they're not showing everything and would probably cut it when the Rangers pick at 20. That's just my guess based on the email they sent out. At the theater last year, they showed the entire first round though a pretty decent chunk of people left after the Kravtsov pick and even more left after the Miller pick. I stayed until Lundkvist was picked and there weren't many people left by that point. Kinda sucks that they'd cut it early especially considering the Rangers could always trade back into the end of round 1 but I guess they figured it's not worth it to keep the arena open that much longer for a negligible amount of people. Again, just my speculation based on the minimal details they sent out.

I've read several times it will be in the arena. I expect them to show it on the Jumbotron and have seats on one side available for the screening

Would make sense, considering having 2OA has a lot of people excited. Want to maximize the amount of people for the party.
 
I got my 2 tixs sent to my phone via text but never received an email confirmation. They are electronic tixs from Ticketmaster. Did that happen to anyone else?

Same with me. I filled out the form weeks ago and never heard anything. But when I randomly searched Ticketmaster, I found public tickets and grabbed 2. I just searched the same link and its removed. I wonder if their having ticketing issues

The date to RSVP by was June 14th so I think you'll see the tickets loaded into your account by early next week I'd assume.

If anyone needs help with tickets, shoot me a PM.

EDIT - To clarify, the form I'm referencing is for season ticket holders.

I ordered mine via ticketmaster and got email notification. I am sure if you got the tix with the scan/bar code you should be ok. Maybe you asked for text notification rather than email?
