Chris Drury’s tenure as Rangers GM has been polarizing, but recent moves suggest he may deserve more credit.

So far this year he traded Jacob Trouba, Filip Chytil, and Kaapo Kakko for J.T. Miller, Will Borgen, and Urho Vaakanainen.

Brought in a top line center that works, a young top 4 D and a LD for 1 mil.

Is the guy that Rangers fans give much trouble to a top 10 NHL GM?

Is this the young top-4 D?

If so, there is another young top-6 forward hitting the UFA market in the summer, Brock Boeser.

It helps a lot when players dictate that they only want to go to New York.

It's like he's playing EA NHL Hockey in easy mode.

his public comments earlier in the year are probably the reason why the Rangers were in the hole for so long this season.

So congrats for fixing issues you caused? Kind of like Alvin, always making trades because he signings and trades are bad for the team so he has to work twice has hard to just stay afloat.

I like Miller. But the Rangers benefited form a unique situation where a reasonably priced star player wanted out from his team and there were a limited number of possible destinations. It wasn't some brilliant move from Drury.

Drury traded Buchnevich for scraps for no reason.

The team didn't like him waiving Goodrow.

Pushing out Trouba, even if the move looked OK on paper, wasn't handled well and bothered the players.

He blew the Kakko situation.

I wouldn't say he's a top 10 GM. I'd say one of the last guys I'd want running my team.

The guy pulled the LOLCOW move of the season with the Kakko trade and his team is likely not making the playoffs despite having advantages no other team in the entire sport has.

I think the poll would be better served asking if he's a bottom 10 GM.. Having a poll regarding the top 10 GM seems extremely odd.

Ya, any other way to ask this would have been better. The only "Yes" vote so far is from the OP himself.

As it is, this poll will be closed shortly.
