The Leafs have no one else to blame but themselves, but really I hate this league and the inconsistent calls. That was no more of a kicking motion than multiple other ones that were called a goal.

Also, I am sick and tired of our captain deciding to not show up repeatedly.

Campbell was the worse of the two goalies for sure, but our defensive coverage was completely brutal, so hard to put this on him alone.

I am lenient with Tavares usually but he has been horrible of late. I'm sure he'll turn it around but we need more from him.

The defense is also hot garbage, even with Muzzin in we need another top 4 guy.

Just an awful showing the past 5 games. This team needs another defenseman and it needs to stop playing Campbell so much. Don't care if Mrazek has been shit so far, you signed him to a multi-year deal. You have to at least try otherwise he's a waste of cap space and money.

I stopped watching games after the crappy start to the season. Then after their huge run I started watching the odd game and every time I do they play terribly. It's unreal.

Tampa won with 4 defenseman. I guess trying to win with 2 is pushing it.

Not trying to defend them but you have to wonder if playing once or twice a week might affect them? Must be touch to gain some momentum

Everyone needs to play better however forwards will continue to cheat and think offence when you know you need to score at least 4 goals to get a point.

Sandin-Liljegren as a pairing are also not ready for elevated competition. They got straight up bullied tonight

Whether he’s to blame or not for this stretch of games, Campbell will have to face the media monster for the first time in his life. I hope he’s able to stay composed throughout this stretch

Matthews losing the record tying goal sucks but it's mostly the sub NHL defense and continuing to choke away massive leads that's the real pressing issue. Muzzin and Holl are big injuries but there is zero semblance of a next man up mentality with the team tonight.

Sandin, Liljegren and Dermott were big failures tonight taking on a bigger role. I'm just thinking back to how much of a structured game the Coyotes rookie randoms played vs these guys running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Biega doesn't even get a rating, he could have been a cardboard cut out. The first line was awful on defensive coverage too.

Campbell's struggling right now. Let's call it what it is.

Yeah it's probably time to be concerned

4 of the last 5 games we've blown multi-goal leads. We should be 4-1-0 on the road trip and instead we sit here 2-2-1. You can't piss away games like this and they're doing it TIME AFTER TIME. Time to wake up

We really do need Muzzin-Holl. Despite their struggles they can actually handle an NHL forecheck. Sandin isn't ready for that role at all and Liljergen wasn't the best either

Give Mrazek the next 3 of 4, it's all soft opponents

mentioned in the other thread, you can see the difference between this goal and Matthews goal. Matthews kicks forward and his whole foot moves. Tierney, still holds his pivot while redirecting the shot, his foot barely moves compared to Matthews. It’s not even an equal comparison. There is a distinct kicking motion with the Matthews one. Let’s not make excuses

Tavares missed prime chances
Nylander was sort of invisible

A culmination of the dogshit hockey and below average goaltending that they've been icing lately.

I thought this loss looked good on them. Got their asses kicked physically and the Rangers bullied 4/6 of the d-core. That felt like what you might see in a playoff game, where the other team forechecks you to death.

Shesterkin showed good mental fortitude tonight after a tough start. He was great for 40 minutes!
