Hopefully Buium has learned his lesson about f***ing up the other teams guys in the playoffs ... Vinny definitely adds some speed that has been missing... but the GM gave up a 2nd for Nyquist and two better players for Brazeau...
He also gave up a C for Brazeau, which gave our lineup more flexibility. Now, apparently, we are stuck with Devin Shore ... Hynes would never consider trying a guy like Haight.

I also thought that Kap had a bad game. Yes, he scored a goal, but he turned over the puck with a brain dead, risky pass that led to the shortie, and compounded his msitake by racing back and taking the wrong guyleaving the goal scorer wide open. Exhibit A, Hynes, of the downside of playing 5 forwards on the PP, even though Boldy did an ok job of defending there.

Boldy's goal was magnificent. 2nd time he has made look Pietrangelo look old in this series.

I am worn out with this team.

41 straight playoff losses when trailing after the second period. If that doesn’t tell you all you need to know about this franchise and the infection that is rotting it to the core and torturing those of us unlucky enough to be saddled with being fans then idk what else to say.
I want to start this by saying that the Wild have definitely struggled mightily in the playoffs since 2003, so you're right if that's the point you're trying to make.

But let's look at that stat from the other side to see what it means:
The Wild's regular season record this year when leading after 2 periods was an undefeated 29-0 and remained that way until game 4 of this series. Now it's 31-1. Most teams win when they are spotted a goal or more with only 20 minutes for the opponent to tie it up and take the lead.

Kap was awful. So many turnovers.

We come out of the 3rd with new lines and are completely buzzing and score. Then Hynes immediately reverts back to the same lines as before. WTF.

Think it’s clear Buium & Ohgren should be in. But will probably be Chisholm and Shore

The outcome was so incredibly predictable. I’m shocked anyone is having a “gut punch” type reaction. Have y’all not watched this franchise for the last 10 years? They find ways to lose almost always.
That’s exactly why when you think you have taken a 3-2 lead with 1 minute left it hurts.

As soon as this team didnt close out game 4 to take a 3-1 series lead add in Hynes benching Buium for Merill (lol) i kinda lost all interest in the series.

I hope im wrong but i can already see how this ish ends.

You're telling me you weren't interested in the series when it looked like they had a 3-2 lead with 1 minute to go?

I didnt watch last nights game because i lost interest in the series.

I have to tell ya, I'm right there with you. I watched the second and third periods last night, but I could take it or leave it at this point. Too many years of the same stuff.

I'm actually not going to go nuts over the Buium thing. He hasn't been a needle mover, and the game 4 high stick was pretty bad.

I'm not saying to dress a team full of young guys because f*** it, but when the options are Buium and Merrill and neither are really needle movers and both have made big mistakes, go with the one that has a future.

Same argument for Rossi over Gaudreau.

Same argument for Öhgren over Nyquist.

I'm prepared to make the argument for Haight over Brazeau too if I'm being completely honest.

I think he's been marginally better than Merrill. He's got learning and developing to do.

I don't know that the Wild would have won had Merrill not been on the ice, I just know they lost with him on the ice.

This stat is absolutely incredible. How is that even possible????

I know teams have gaudy records when leading after two. But 41 in a row?

Every single year MN sports teams from all 4 major markets put up the most impossible stats for futility. The most improbable displays of ineptitude. Generational levels of failure. It’s insane. When the games matter you can count on any men’s pro team with an MN in front of their moniker to fail miserably in the most inconceivable way.

Performances to date (relative to expectations and role):

A - Boldy, Gus, Faber, Trenin, Foligno, Hartman

B - Kaprizov, Spurgeon, Mojo, JEE, Rossi

C - Middleton, Brodin, Zuccarello, Buium, Brazeau

F - Nyquist, Gaudreau, Bogosian, Merrill, Hynes

Rossi and Buium were toughest to rate. Rossi probably should be an A, but I also think he’s been a bit soft on pucks. Kaprizov has been great, but also way too many turnovers. Almost gave JEE a C and Foligno a B for his senseless penalty.

Johansson should be lower. 1 point in 5 games.

Gustavsson A.

Think the only A we have on this team is Boldy. Everyone has hasn't really exceeded their role/expectations that much.

You guys need a peptalk to cheer you up. How does signing Merrill and Nyquist to identical 4 by 4 contracts with full no movement clauses sound?

I feel like I am at the theatre watching a movie I don't want to see again. I either sit and suffer through it or leave, forget how much I hate it and start watching it again in 6 months.

Agreed, but at least next year the movie will have a bigger budget and few intriguing co-stars.

Yup. I just seen this movie so many times i dont even wanna bother. Hope they prove me wrong.
