I like Ohgren coming in fresh. He works his ass off out there and having a tireless pair of young legs and a goal scorer would be a nice boost to the bottom 6.

I don’t know how you hide Zucc and Nyquist but they are noticeable weak points. Zucc hasn’t won a puck battle all series and with Buium here I don’t think he’s as crucial on the PP. I think you keep him in the lineup due to his finishing ability and smarts, but wouldn’t mind a lesser role for him and Nyquist and even Freddy.

I was reluctant on Ohgren but only to the point of having Hinostroza having priority and Shore a better 4th liner. That said, Virus is already in the lineup, and we need to switch up Nyquist, who plays on the 3rd and not the 4th.

Sum up: If we take out Brazeau, put in Shore. If we take out Nyquist, put in Ohgren.

I think we try an Ohgren-Gaudreau-Hinostroza line to give a bit more size and a shooting flavour to it.

So why didn’t they play him in the overtime?

I would imagine that zeev is still kind of an unknown wildcard out there so they were playing it safe? I can't say that bogo is playing better than zeev in any meaningful way. Them as a pair do make me nervous.

no offensive line changes...oh well then.

Ohgren for Nyquist or Hinostroza would be about the only thing that could be done. I'd like to see what a Foligno/Hartman/Ohgren line could do, but I'm meh about tossing the kid into the lineup.

The Freddy G line would still be the weak spot though.

So Bogo and Midds each directly coughed up a goal that lost us a game and Buium sits. Hynes is such absolute trash.

Vegas tied the game while Buium was in the box serving a 4 minute penalty.

On a play that shouldn’t have counted due to Hartman being blatantly interfered with.

I get it, I'm just saying, don't lambast one guy and then give another guy a pass because he is the shiny new time. Middleton is a net positive for this team.

I’m not against putting Merrill in. Bogo should be getting really familiar with how the press box popcorn machine works though.

Merrill vs Bogosian is 6 vs half dozen to me. They're both not worth playing in the playoffs. Playing both is more problematic than playing one vs the other. It's the "safe" (low-ceiling) play, but the floor isn't any higher.

But, whatever. Hynes is coaching this series to not lose at this point. We'll see if turtling a 2-1 series lead works out for him or not.

An intentional high stick happens to everyone …even the best. Coughing the puck out to the middle of the ice where it ends up in the back of your net should have consequences. Buium didn’t do that, midds did and it cost us the game and likely this series.
