Okay so sub him in for Johansson then. Or Shore if Trenin can play center again. I have no interest in Johansson at center. I'm good with Zuccarello on the PP.

I might be convinced to go 7D if I thought it meant playing Faber and Brodin less, but I think it'll just mean playing Buium less, and I'm not sure that's going to help. Especially at the cost of then playing Boldy or Kaprizov into the ground.

Kaprizov-Rossi-Hartman
Ohgren-Ek-Boldy
Foligno-Gaudreau-Hinostroza
Johansson-Trenin?-Zuccarello

You can switch Rossi and Hartman in your head if you'd like.

I don't want Kap and Rossi together. Neither seem healthy, and it makes for a very small/soft line. Boldy and JEE board play made the difference in G1 and took some of the focus off Kap. I don't see Rossi or Hartman being able to replicate that. Rossi seemed to shy away from the physical aspects in G1 and that doesn't give me confidence in him being a driving force this offseason.

Yes, I'm trying to shelter both Kap and Rossi from some of the physical play and being the focus of their line.

Fine, then I'll go with your top 9, but I still want Brazeau sitting and Johansson nowhere near center.

Kap Hartman Zucc
Foligno Ek Boldy
X. Rossi. X

Feel free to make the Rossi for Hartman swap mid game depending on who’s going hard.

It has to be this , if we can’t get anything out of Zucc this series is over

You mean the White Sux.

Honestly, they're the two of the three worst teams in the entire MLB, might be worth tuning in just to see what happens when a stoppable force meets a moveable object.

Brent Burns just gave Timo Meier a sweet headbutt and smiled the best toothless grin I’ve ever seen afterwards lol

Brazeau had a good G1. I thought he was better than guys higher in the lineup. It wasn't just Hartman making them look good. That whole line was keeping the puck in the o-zone, winning puck battles along the boards, while playing a heavy game. I thought they had a better chance of scoring (it would have been a dirty goal) than whatever it was the middle-6 lines were doing.

I don't care about MarJo in the lineup. It's why I like the 7D and double shift one of the other centers during their handful of shift during the game idea better. If that 4th line is still clicking then sit one of the middle-6 lines more.

It's not ideal, but a lot of the lineup isn't ideal to me.

Mojo has been irreplaceable the last few months. I’d sit about a half dozen guys before I’d sit him.

Another night of absolutely abysmal reffing. Just because we won doesn't mean it should be left unmentioned. Slewfoot, which should be an automatic suspension, went uncalled. Later, an ungloved sucker punch in front of two refs against Kaprizov of all players went uncalled. Only PP we got in 3rd was when Nyquist got waterski'd halfway down the ice; even there they gave the vegas player like two-three chances to let go before blowing the whistle.

Before someone says "doesn't matter, our PP sucks anyway", yes it does. It absolutely does that one team is getting such a blatant advantage.

If they call 3 or more penalties on Vegas, you know they'll find a way to call a few on the Wild too.

Kap looked way less injured compared to the previous 2 games.

I hope Hague slams his shins into an ottoman in the middle of the night.
Not 100% there yet. Close. Timing still seems a bit off occasionally, but for sure he looked much better tonight...last night...whenever. NHL late game bullshit.

Wild got up early and turtles. How do you solve that. Is it coaching or inherent nature. I dunno

I can't hate too much, we got up early so Kaprizov played less than 20 minutes and wild just rolled their lines. And Kaprizov still got 3!points.

But just want some Killer instinct

Lot of vets showed their value tonight with smart, simple plays and blocked shots - Middleton, Zucc, Nyquist, Mojo.

Buium has a great stick. But he’s still deer in the headlights.

Rossi still going through the motions.

Imagine next year we may get this top-line all year without sacrificing all scoring depth.

I wouldn't call him a deer in the headlights that assumes he's completely lost, and I don't see that at all. He plays with good position and he looks smart, but he looks hesitant. He's feeling it out right now, but absolutely is an NHL player and needs to be in our lineup.
Once he starts getting his feet, he's going to be really good really soon.

I really don’t think there’s a “good” way to play when you have a big lead early on. It’s just such an awkward spot to be in.

Drop Barzal in this team for Rossi, how much different of a team build do we have compared to Tampa?

Kaprizov ~ Kucherov
Barzal ~ Point
Boldy ~ Guentzel
Ek ~ Cirelli

Hedman > Faber, but theoretically Buium once he gets up to speed is better than the Tampa number 2.

Vasilevskiy > Gus, but not by as much as you’d think based on this year.

Our team would have the younger core by quite a bit, too.

Yeah I think he gets it he’s just a half a second slow right now.
