So for some reason, in the past anyway, some Rangers games in my area(Watervliet, NY, technically Albany County) have been blacked out on MSG, does anyone in this are know if this has changed, I've had to purchase NHL Center Ice to see all Rangers games, which now isn't a big issue as it's only $59.99 now on DIRECTV, but, I also have ESPN+, along with a VPN, just wondering if I need CI for games on TV, I prefer to watch them on my DIRECTV not over the internet as Spectrum sucks big time here. Thanks for any help.

I live just outside Schenectady and there's been no blackouts this year for me.

I went to college and pharmacy school in Albany the past 8 years and I remember on msg, Buffalo games take priority whenever both are on at the same time. I think both buffalo and rangers games are blacked out lol I’m not too sure though. Had to watch all the games on msg go on my laptop.

I live up past Saratoga and have had no blackouts since Spectrum took over from Time Warner. If Buffalo is on the major MSG channel (54 up here), check for the Rangers on the MSG overflow channels (326 & 327 here).

Thanks guys, it seems like I do have blackouts then, which is annoying, and yeah the Sabres take priority for some reason. But for $60 a year, CI isn't bad now, I like watching other games around the league anyway, plus having ESPN+ helps with the VPN when I have other stuff on like my 49ers & Rockets, I have DTV for NFL ST plus I hate Cable, especially Spectrum(Hated TWC even more).
